Below is a master list of characters, which can and probably will be added to and updated daily.
This list includes ALL canon characters, present and future. If you click on the character's name in the master list, it will bring you to a more detailed bit about them. In created canon characters, all details are negotiable- see below.

ORIGINAL CHARACTERS

I want to give people a bit of free reign, so I'm going to allow a couple original characters from the future and a few from the past as well. Because we have a ton of canons that we want filled, I'm going to limit the number of originals to start with (the more canons we have filled, the more spaces for originals will open).

PRESENT
• There are already four and a half female Death Eaters. I will allow only one more. The majority of Death Eaters were men, so let's keep that canon.
• I will allow one more original character to be a member of the Order of the Phoenix. This character must've been in a house other than Gryffindor in Hogwarts. There are unfortunately a whole ton of canons available for the Order in this time, and that's why we don't want to see a ton of originals.
• Blood statuses shouldn't all be pure. Wizards have been around for centuries and so have muggles by this time, so there are definitely some halfbloods. Lily isn't the only muggleborn of the time period either. There were more than just her.
• Not all Death Eaters are purebloods. Just because someone practices the belief that purebloods are better doesn't mean they have to have pureblood themselves. They can always lie about their blood and pretend it's pure even if it actually isn't.
  
  FUTURE
• Future original characters may be related to canons, as long as it makes sense (the only people in Harry Potter's year to have children this age would have had to had babies no later than year 2000 for them to be done school now).
• Blood statuses for Future Original Characters: 2 muggleborns; x halfbloods; 2 purebloods. By 2018, most people will be halfbloods. As you can see, the majority of the created canons are pure-blood or half-blood, and they're nearly all related somehow.
• There are no Hogwarts-aged children from the future. They are all currently still at school in 2018. The time warp was location-limited and happened in Diagon Alley in November (thus, Hogwarts kiddies are at school).
• There are only two spaces in the Order for original characters in the future. Kingsley Shacklebolt is a fantastic Minister for Magic, and most people don't feel the need to be creating secret armies to ward off evil. There is trust in the Ministry in the future. There are only one or two Voldemort supporters left and most people regard them as insane memoirs of the past. If you're wanting an evil character from the future, then your best options are for them to have an alliance either with the Brotherhood of Desmarius, or the League of Aternox (see alligences thread for more details on these two organizations).
• We'll list here a couple types of character we'd like to see if you're to make an original.
  
  • muggleborn Order of the Phoenix member
  • halfblood Order of the Phoenix member
  • pureblood Death Eater fanatic
  • halfblood supporter of the League of Aternox
  • halfblood supporter of the Brotherhood of Desmarius
  • halfblood employee of the Ministry of Magic
  
  
  I'm not saying we won't consider your character if you don't choose one of these things, but if you keep the things I've mentioned above in mind, then you're far more likely to be accepted right away!

MARAUDER'S ERA CANONS

There are many other characters alive in 1978. Thousands. If they are not listed on this list, check them out on the Lexicon and you are more than willing to play them. For example, Gideon and Fabian Prewett, and the Slytherin boys Snape hangs out with (Avery, etc), are not currently on our canon list, but if they are applied for, we will accept them as characters. We just have not had time to add ALL of these people to the list yet.

ADMIN-CREATED CANONS

These canons have some negotiable features about them, unlike the actual canons from the series. The ones involved in subplots are fairly set-down, but others have some qualities, such as their first names, birthdates, parent's names, and siblings (provided that their parents and siblings are not playable characters) that can be changed if you contact an admin and discuss it with them. Honestly, if you like a character except for one little thing, contact an admin and discuss it with them! We're pretty lenient, so it shouldn't be a problem.

RECCOMENDED PLAY-BYs

Notice the term recommended? Good. These are not set-in-stone, "you must use these people" recommendations. We would prefer it if you used the names we've recommended as your play-by, but you don't HAVE to.
The only exceptions are the ones labelled 'required play-by', and those are because the character is at the appropriate age that the actor or actress who portrayed them in the HP films can be used as their play-by.

The parallels between the histories of Neville Longbottom and Harry Potter were truly astounding. They were born on nearly the same day, began Hogwarts on the same day, and they both posses a bravery beyond what others could ever really imagine. They also share a tragedy: neither man got to know his parents. Harry, orphaned only months after his first birthday, went to live with his muggle aunt's family, while Neville's parents did not share the fate of Harry's, their was equally as horrid, leaving Neville to be raised by his grandmother. On the same evening, both boys lost their parents: Harry's were brutally murdered, while Neville's were tortured to the point of insanity. Though they lived until Neville was nearly thirty, they didn't know him, and all he knew of them was from pictures and stories. Teddy Lupin, named for his grandfather who was murdered not long before his birth, is another noble spirit who never got to know his parents. The son of two Order members: a werewolf, and an Auror, who were both dedicated to the cause and determined to help fight in the war... both gave up their lives to help save their friends. Their son was their memorial, though he, like his Godfather Harry, and family friend Neville, never got to know his parents. When these three men are unexpectedly transported back in time, to a place where all of their parents are alive and well... how do they react? They've all secretly wished for a chance to get to know their parents, and now that it's come, what do they do? Do they even realize that every single move they make can alter their own futures? Is everything fate? Will the same events occur no matter how hard they try to stop them, or will these men do or say too much, leaving their own futures at risk?

Sirius Black and Alice Llewellyn have been remarkable friends throughout the majority of their Hogwarts years. If there was anyone outside the Marauders that Sirius trusted, it was Alice. They were too similar not to be good friends. When Sirius wasn't with his Marauder friends, he was often found laying pranks with his other little Gryffindor friend. Her bravery and the fact that she'll actually compete with him without giving in are both traits he admires... so it's no wonder that he's had a crush on her since their third year. The funny thing is, Sirius has a remarkable reputation when it comes to women. He's a ladies' man, plain and simple. Ladies love him, and he has no quams about letting them get excited about him. Though he's dated his fair share of ladies, none of those women have really been able to stick with him. Perhaps that little crush on Alice is part of the cause. How does Miss Llewellyn feel about the eloquent Mr. Black? Well, he's one of her best friends, and one of the people in the world that she feels closest to... so why wouldn't she have the same feelings? There's no signs saying she doesn't. Aside from being completely naive to the fact that women sometimes should make the first move, Alice always figured Sirius was too busy with his flings with other girls to bother with her. After repressing her attraction to Sirius, another man started to catch Alice's eye. Though they knew of one another in school, Frank Longbottom and Alice Llewellyn never really started to get to know one another until Alice began her training to become an Auror, a program that Frank was already through two years of. A brave soul at heart, it's embarrassing for Frank to admit that he's been too shy to ask the younger woman out, even though there's been a few hints that the young lady has a tiny crush on him. Will Sirius make a move and reignite the sparks Alice felt for him, giving him a chance with her before Frank is able to muster up the courage? And how will having Frank and Alice's future son around effect the relatinships of these three, or will it even affect them at all?

Sage McMillan is the prettiest girl in Hogwarts, as far as most guys are concerned... One of those guys is Cristoph Reiquen. Cristoph has had the biggest crush on Sage since fourth year. The problem is, he has a hard time to talking to girls, and he's a little too shy to really talk to her. Nevermind that he is easily one of the most popular and better looking men in the entire school, not to mention the Quidditch star of Gryffindor (at least, since James Potter's graduation). Roxana Mordaunt is an easy second to Sage McMillian, others even might consider her hotter. The only thing that may make the difference is their personalities. Sage is a only a tiny bit shy and that adds a whole lot of attractive mystery to her, on the other hand, Roxana is loud, demanding, knows that she's hot, and knows what she wants. Right now, Roxana wants Warren Huxley, and she usually gets what she wants. In fact, she's already gotten what she wants. They've been dating since the beginning of the year. What happens when one of Gryffindor's Quidditch team members happens to mysteriously not return from Christmas holiday? The team is forced to find a replacement. With Cristoph in charge of finding this replacement, it's no surprise that a long line of Gryffindor girls try out for this spot. One of those girls was Wendy Huxley. Warren's twin sister is possibly nearly as manly as he is, and four times better than him at any sport, Quidditch especially. So when Wendy tries out for the Quidditch team and accidentally falls off her broom, making a fool of herself for it... she's got to think fast to get that Quidditch spot. With a little convincing and a little polyjuice potion, Wendy convinces her brother to trade places with her for Quidditch games and let her play. In Warren's body, Wendy wows the other players and easily snags the spot. What happens when Sage begins to notice Warren (who is really Wendy) on the Quidditch field, and Wendy begins to notice that Cristoph isn't all that bad either? Will Roxana win out with her hold over Warren? Will Cristoph's three year crush keep his eyes glued to Sage? What extreme measures will the girls go to get the men they want?

Melete McCormack and Evan Rosier have been fairly close friends throughout most of their Hogwarts lives. Melete has always been a little more interested in the Rosier boy than she'd cared to admit, and though they had their fun together, there has never been a defined relationship between them. They've always sort of just been 'friends with benefits' of sorts. Now with school being done and Melete's parents pressuring her to find a husband, and Evan's new commitment to the Dark Lord, how will their relationship change, or will it?

When the train left the station the first of September, 1971, four young girls all shoved themselves into a single compartment and began giddily discussing what their school advetures were going to be like, and what they all knew about the school. For young Lily, who hadn't heard anything about the school at all until she'd gotten her acceptance letter, it was the most interesting experience of her thus far short life. For Alice, it was interesting just being around girls for a change- after all, she'd grown up with two brothers so she was used to playing with boys and doing things with boys... it was exciting to have some girls around to chat with. Marlene and Hayley met in Diagon Alley before the day they boarded the train, but they were still just getting to know one another. As fate would have it, all four girls were sorted into the same house: the brave Gryffindor. All of them were proud of their house, of their friends, and of themselves. Throughout their years at school, the four of them only grew closer and closer, and by the time they were finished school... they knew one another better than maybe even the Marauders knew each other. When Lily joined the Order, the other three followed suit immediately. They were passionate about fighting in the war against Voldemort. Hayley and Alice were so against the Dark Lord that they started their Auror training almost immediately after graduation from Hogwarts. So what would one do to tear apart the very soul of this group? That's right. They'd get rid of one... or two, of them. The first attack didn't quite go as planned: Frank, James, Alice, and Lily were out on a mission for the Order- one the Death Eaters knew about, and the four of them were such a tempting target that the Dark Lord couldn't resist it. They were lucky though, and managed to escape. Damn! A dark deed foiled once more by the Order of the Phoenix... and as a bonus, Frank managed to kill the Death Eater Wilkes. When Horatio Travers heard news of his colleague's death, he knew it was time to make a move. He knew he'd been exposed as a Death Eater, but that didn't matter to him. He knew what he was doing, and was in a state of perfect sanity when he arrived on the doorstep of Marlene McKinnon and her family... and murdered them all in cold blood. How do the remaining three young woman cope when they lose one of their best friends? What extreme measures will they go to see her killer gets what he deserves?

Rita Skeeter was utterly and entirely proud to be an only child. That was- until her mother got pregnant again. The thought of having a younger sibling made Rita absolutely sour. She loved being spoiled by her parents and getting all the attention in the room, and even at two, she was well aware that the arrival of the new baby girl took away attention that was, of course, rightfully hers. Couple those feelings along with the fact that the new little girl wasn't one-hundred-percent related to her by blood... Confused? Well, baby Greta Skeeter was conceived thanks to an affair that Rita's mother had with a certain Quenton Gallagher, a married pureblood wizard with his own family. So when Greta was born, both the Skeeters and the Gallaghers worlds were thrown for a loop. Lucky for Quenton, his wife forgave him, and they were able to move on as a family- even have a couple more children. Marion on the other hand, was unable to convince her husband that there was a reason to stay around after Greta's paternity had been settled. Within a year of her little sister's birth, Rita's world was an absolute disaster. Not only did she no longer have a father in her life, but considering Greta was so little, Rita got hardly any attention at all from her mother, who was now a single mom with no income. Their family went from being rather wealthy to being in shambles... and stayed that way. Rita picked on her little sister throughout their entire childhood, harboring resentment and blaming the breakup of their family on the younger half-sibling. By the time Greta hit the age of eight, she'd had enough of her older sister picking on her, and really started to fight back. She knew the things that were important to Rita, and she started taking them away from her. First it started with toys, and as they grew older, the things she would do grew as well... she'd steal papers that Rita had written (knowing that her writing was one of the most important things in Rita's life), and eventually, she got in a habit of stealing Rita's boyfriends. By the time Rita left Hogwarts, she'd lost five boyfriends thanks to Greta's work. When Rita left Hogwarts, she sought out her father- and found him. He was resentful at first, considering she reminded him so much of her mother... a woman he still held so much resentment for... but he warmed up to his daughter for sure, and again she was spoiled as she was when she was really little. Rita has little to no contact with her mother any longer- another thing that she and Greta argue about. Greta's game of stealing the men in Rita's life didn't stop when she finished school, ohhh no. The younger girl knew she could have whoever she wanted- and the only ones she wants are the ones that someone, her sister particularly, already have. So when Rita finds herself absolutely mistified by one of the new strangers who appeared the other day, how long will it take for something to ruin it? She's got him interested in her, and the more time she spends with him, the more she finds herself falling (after all, as nosy and annoying as she can be- she is still a woman at heart). However, Rita made the mistake of mentioning her new man to her sister, and now Greta's back around and interested. What extreme measures will Rita have to go to keep her sister away from this one, and will she succeed for once?

Peter Pettigrew hadn't had the easiest of lives. He began Hogwarts as a timid child whom others deemed it appropriate to pick on. He did however, make an intelligent decision, one that would parallel his further decisions. He managed to become friends with Sirius Black, James Potter, and Remus Lupin. With that, the boy made his way through Hogwarts with three of the best friends he could have ever asked for. Not only did they provide a certain amount of protection from the ridicule directed his way from other students, but they also helped him out with homework, aided him in learning to become an unregistered animagus, and included him in the group: the one thing he'd always been worried about. Now that school's let out, the Marauders have each gone their own separate way. Though they are still a group, and still the best of friends, Peter found himself less and less involved in the lives of his friends. James was beginning his life with Lily, or trying to at least, Sirius was lost in his own ridiculous messes, and Remus was busy studying and trying to find himself. The one thing that united the boys was the Order of the Phoenix. That was the only place that Peter felt like he did in school: accepted by his friends, and because of them, a variety of other people were very accepting towards him as well. The problem is, what does Peter do with the rest of his time? And does he even realize that by being friends with the other three boys, he's put himself on the radar of the Lord Voldemort himself? After all, James and Lily, along with one or two other members of the Order had battled Lord Voldemort face to face once already. So when Voldemort started looking for ways to get to James, Sirius, Remus, and moreso: Dumbledore, he discovered Peter. Converting Peter to his side was a task he left to a small group of boys that have known Peter in school: Regulus Black, Barty Crouch JR, and Amycus Carrow. Voldemort explained that they would have to provide a certain amount of security for Peter in order for him to cross over. Unfortunately, they've been a little too subtle thus far and have yet to actually convert him. What will happen when Amycus brings out his secret weapon, or at least, his secret weapon should he convince her that she needs to do this one little favor for him? Arachne is the younger sister that Amycus and Alecto have both somewhat covered up. They never really talk about her, unless its absolutely needed. The funny thing is, she's always done whatever they've asked of her. She's almost been their little pawn, all her life. Though she is growing up a little and making her own choices, there's still this nagging in the back of her consciousness that makes her do as her siblings ask. Will Amycus and Alecto be able to convince Arachne to help them seduce Peter to the dark side, or will they be left to more extreme measures?

Sloane Llewellyn never thought he'd find love again, ever. He'd been truly in love once before, with the mother of his now five year old daughter. His wife, Cereine, had unfortunately died in childbirth when Priscilla was born. For months, Sloane had been devestated, and relied heavily on his family for help caring for his new baby daughter. Over the years, and with the love and support of his family as well as the undying love of his daughter, he's managed to make it through the hurt and the pain to realize that maybe there was someone else out there for him... and that it was okay to open himself up to those experiences once again. Farryn Reiquen spent her entire life living in her sisters' shadows. One was a fantastic student and a seemingly happy person until she committed suicide, and the other spent her whole childhood fighting with the boy she ended up marrying. With her sister expecting her first child, the feelings being stirred up inside the normally content Farryn are ones of uncertainty. She's beginning to feel as though she's running out of time for love, and marriage, and all the things that she's dreamt about her whole life. After all, her sister isn't even a full year older than her, and she's already been married for a few years. After stumbling into one another in Diagon Alley only moments after Farryn's arrival in 1978, their eyes met and sparks flew, but with Farryn confused and trying to figure out what was happening, and Priscilla dragging Sloane down the street for ice cream, the two never had a chance to introduce themselves let alone talk. Does fate have another chance meeting in store for them, or will the moment in time just pass them by? What extreme measures will they take to find love?
