Rome, Italy (Sports Network) - Lazio's Simone Inzaghi and Sampdoria's Fabio Bazzani will swap places for the rest of the Serie A season on a loan deal.
Inzaghi, a former Italian international, has struggled for playing time this season. The 28-year-old has made just 12 appearances for Lazio, which has won two games in a row under new coach Giuseppe Papadopulo.
Bazzani, also 28, has made three appearances for the Italian national team. He has scored twice for surprising Sampdoria this season, but an altercation with coach Walter Novellino apparently led to his exit.
Sampdoria sits fifth in the table, while Lazio is ninth.
