Celta Vigo striker Fernando Baiano has emerged as a target for Valencia.

The Brazilian has made a name for himself over the last year in La Liga having bagged a hatful of goals for first Malaga and now Celta.

He joined Malaga in the January transfer window last season and fired the goals that guided the Costa del Sol outfit to safety.

His performances earned him a summer move to Celta where he has continued to impress, notching a further ten strikes this campaign.

The Galician outfit locked horns with Valencia last weekend and, despite a 1-0 reverse for his side, Baiano is thought to have impressed the Che coaching staff.

Valencia boss Quique Flores is looking for a front man to bolster his squad ahead of an expected return to the UEFA Champions League next term with much of the team's goalscoring burden currently falling on the shoulders of David Villa.

Is he a great striker? If he's then go for it Valencia!

Yes he is, he was crucial for Celta Vigo this season. I'm convinced he's better than Mista (slow) and Kluivert (very much over-rated).
