Title: Important Announcement - P L E A S E R E A D ! ! !
Description: About copying & pasting articles

OZGOD - March 15, 2005 10:41 AM (GMT)

Upon consulting legal advice we have been advised that copying and pasting articles (whether in full or in part) leaves ESPNSTAR open to the possibility of being sued for breach of copyright.

As such we have been instructed that from this point on we can no longer allow members to post the following:

1. All links to video footages that we do not have rights for; and
2. Copied and pasted articles from other sites.

You can rephrase the topic of an article in your own words and provide a link in order to stimulate discussion, but you CANNOT post an article in full. Cricket scorecards are OK, but NOT articles.

Please adhere to this from this point forward.

Sorry fellas, it's out of our hands. This has come from the top. I know it sucks, but it's what we have to do. I have to adjust to this myself.

OK I have 2 questions...
What if we copied and pasted the article in "quote" tags and provide a source to the article at the top of the article that we quote?

And even if that is not allowed, can we at least quote articles from espnstar.com?

Please refer to the Board Rules, which has been updated on 2nd August 2005.

Hi Guys,

While starting a new topic, please give a meaningful heading. Headings like "Let on it" or "Is it right?" wont suffice :sadno: The heading MUST give a brief idea of the subject that the topic will cover.

Thanks for your patience. Happy debating.

Astra
