The Devil's Gate has been opened and an army unleashed. The original plan was that the army was to be led by a human. That human was meant to be the last one standing, a kid by the name of Jake. Things did not quite go as planned. True, Jake killed young Sam Winchester, however, Sam had something that Jake was not counting on. Sam had an older brother. Sam had Dean. Dean went to the crossroads looking to make a deal. He sold his soul to bring his brother back to life, giving the older Winchester only one year to live. Sam, Dean, and their half-sister Meghan were able to track Jake down thanks to information Ash had gather prior to his death. They were sent to a cemetery in southern Wyoming. It was there that the final showdown with Jake began. Sam killed him. He shot him seven times, splattering blood onto Sam's face as Bobby, Ellen, Dean, and Meghan watched in horror. There was no time to dwell on the actions though. Jake had already opened the gate. Hundreds of demons were unleashed. While Sam, Meghan, Bobby, and Ellen tried to close the gate, Dean faced off against the enemy he had been hunting his whole life. With the final bullet left in the Colt, Dean pulled the trigger, killing the Yellow Eyed Demon. The mastermind behind the war was dead. Now this newly unleashed army of eternal damnation was without a leader. There are some of those demons that search out their would be boy king, Sam Winchester, hoping to make him into what he truly is, they are few. There are some looking to bring him down, thinking he's competition, one in particular. There is a new leader for this army. A powerful force not to be underestimated. This new leader sees Sam Winchester as a threat. Many wonder why, while Sam keeps his secrets hidden inside him. He is changing. He insists it is so he can survive, so he can protect Meghan when Dean is gone. In his head he wonders if that is the truth? Dean worries that Sam is changing. The words of the yellow-eyed-demon still echo in his head. "Are you sure what you brought back is one hundred percent... pure... Sam?". "well then... we got work to do." (Posted Image) (Posted Image) There is a lot of work left to do. The world, without the knowledge of most, is at war. One would think that the hunters would band together under one banner, but that is sadly not the case. There seems to be more fighting among hunters nowadays than there is with demons. There are still so many hunters that believe it easier to hunt on their own. Soloists. Those who do not play well with others. Many of these hunters blame the Winchesters for their current situation. They have heard scattered details about the events of that night and insist that the Winchesters are to blame, even though Bobby and Ellen were there as well. Then there are those like Gordon Walker who believe that Sam was there to open the gate, not to stop it. Though he is now dead, he has his own little band of followers. The fanatical hunters that will follow every word he says until the ends of the earth. To add to the problems the Winchesters face, Dean's time is running out. Only a few more months until his bill comes due. Ruby. A demon. She says she's there to help Sam, that she can get Dean out of his deal. No one knows if they can trust her but she did help Bobby fix the Colt, and saved Dean's life. She told Dean that it was because she still felt was it was like to be human. As if the prospect of Hell was not frightening enough, Ruby left Dean with the knowledge that when he gets there he will become what he hunts, a demon. Bela. A cunning thief who only looks out for herself. She has caused more than a few problems for the Winchesters, including stealing their only true weapon, the Colt. The FBI. Henrickson was right on their tail, in fact thanks to Bela, he was able to catch them. “I mean, it’s like they’re coming right for us. They’ve never done that before. They were stuck in a jail, a small jail with thirty something people, possessed, outside waiting to rip them limb from limb. Ruby showed, she finally spilled the beans on the big back demon leader coming their way. Lilith. Many stories surround Lilith, all of them saying she was essentially the first female demon. Ruby offered a plan to get everyone out alive, except one. A secretary named Nancy, who happened to be a virgin. Dean was firmly against this plan yet Sam seemed okay with it. Dean proposed they let them in and fight it out. With his brother and half sister in tow that was exactly what they did. They let the demons inside, trapped them. Only one escaped. The clever plan involved Sam recording an exorcism and playing it over the PA system after trapping the demons inside. With the demons gone there was one more thing to take care of. Henrickson. After that display, and a stint being possessed himself, he finally believed the boys. He said that he was going to tell his bosses that the Winchesters died in a helicopter crash. The Winchesters left, heading back to their hotel room. Henrickson had just gotten off the phone when a little girl walked in, looking for a girl and her two brothers. "One's really tall and the other's really cute." is how she described the boys. She said he name was Lilith. Victor went for his gun but never got the chance. The building exploded, killing everyone inside. Back at the hotel Sam, Meghan, and Dean were greeted by Ruby, saying that if they had gone with her plan, none of this would have happened. Her plan would have killed every demon within a mile, including herself and it would have left no one able to run back and tell Lilith. She gave the Winchesters each a pouch, containing something that would throw Lilith off their trail. The war has begun.
