Everyone,
I've published a new book that you can purchase entitled The Mormonites: Their Churches and Schisms. Go to http://mormonites.blogspot.com/ or http://www.publishamerica.com/ for more details.

Does it have all them? I know the once 1 million member RLDS Church had shattered into 100s of different small sects of RLDS. But do you have like... the Baptist Church that uses the Book of Mormon or the Islamic sect that believes Joseph Smith was a Prophet?

It'd be cool if it did, but it doesn't have to. Are you polite when talking about these groups and try to present their veiws the way they'd have you presented? Because I'd be interested to get to know some of these groups.

If anyone here purchases the book, I would be interested in hearing a discussion about it here.
As long as it is civil and no badmouthing occurs (on either side), please feel free to post comments about the book here.
Thanks. :)

Ray,
It doesn't mention all of them because, the movement is always changing. New religions are being formed all the time. It does mention the six main movements and refers to many of their schisms with some details on a few of the schisms being given. My book is an informative read.

So... What are the 6 main groups, modern ones or old ones? For instance, the "Strangite" movement might of been a competing sect in the early days of the movement, but today, they have like, what, only 100 members today? Are Strangites in the book.

Are you a member of any of these groups? Do you try to represent their beliefs the way they'd want to be presented, even if you think its silly you try not to put any of them down, even FLDS?

The six main groups are as follows:
1. Utah Mormons: 12 Million members, http://www.lds.org/.
2. Strangites: 300 members, http://www.strangites.org/.
3. Bickertonites: 10,000 members, http://the-church.org/.
4. Community of Christ (RLDS): 250,000 members, http://cofchrist.org/.
5. Cutlerites: 40 members, http://www.cutlerite.org/.
6. Hedrickites: 8,000 members, http://www.churchofchrist-tl.org/.
I'm a member of the Utah Mormon and RLDS churches as well as being unofficially connected to an RLDS protest movement called the Restoration Branches Movement (http://www.centerplace.org/). Yes, I do try to be fair to all concerned by presenting their views as I understand it as well as the objections of the other churches to the views of a specific church as well.
