Peugeot 405 1.9 and ZX 1.9 have the same engine = XU9J2

Peugeot 405 2.0 and ZX 2.0 have the same engine= XU10J2

Yep ECUs are interchangeable for manual transmission as i was told....one mehanic told me if it was automatic the ECU will be not be compatible...is this true puginfo?

>>> not sure mate, but i think the 405 does not have a separate gbox ecu unlike the 406. some one needs to confirm this. it is supposed to be a mech type g/box.

ello all,

First visit to this site and i am impressed - kudos to all.

P&P does not unleash that many ponies, your engines tend to breath easier and freely hence the 'feel' of responsiveness.

puginfo - never thought matspeed would ever be mentioned in this forum....wonder if that machine still works?

>>> welcome aboard azmel. matspeed's bench is in good nick but the analyser, compressor and printer is buggered up. worst still the people trained on it have left. this was last year when i saw them. speedworks on the other hand says that they have it but forbid people from even getting near it. both places will do for a 4 figure rm.

what you can do is probably drop yr cylinder head off in autobags so that they would send to Ah Sang (quite reputable without flow test results) to do p&p about 7/800rm. if you drive in, they will not take citroen.
