hi, how difficult is it to change the steering rack ,the internal threading stripped when changing the ball joint, I think previous one must have been cross threaded as it was very difficult to screw out ,took hours literaly and cut metal every turn .any help much appreciated

must us a proper tool to dismantle it. some mechanics uses the hammer and chisel method which is so wrong..
