ZX 2.0i 8v (A), engine dies

hi there..i hv a prob wit my baby where when i put it in drive or reverse gear and not moving (pressing on the break) the car engine would shake very hard then the engine dies. happen to me even at the traffic lights stops. when in parking or neutral gear, im doing a little more then 1000rpm and no problems, only when in drive or reverse gear. could this problem cause by the stepper motor? i clean the steeper motor already but still da same.

I'm not sure about 8v engine but I heard this kinda problem always to happend on most 8v's owners.By the way have you alreay rectify it ? my thought it could be your Stepper motor,change it then.. :rolleyes:

i went to the mechanics the other day and ask them to change the spark plug (juz a hunch that might be the problem) and now its purrrrring fine..no more engine dies at traffic lights. love my citroen =)
