I haven't been on skates in a couple of years. Do I have to be a great skater to try out a a beginner? The more I see about Roller Derby the more I want to be involved, I'm just lost a where to get started.

Hey there! Hopefully you found the info you were looking for by now, but incase you didn't... NO, you don't have to be a great skater to come out to the beginner practices on Tuesday nights (8:30-10:30). If you have any experience skating at all, the rest will come with practice. I was an awful skater with very little experience when I started... you just have to have the desire to do it and the willingness to stick with it. Just come to Scooters skating rink on a Tuesday evening and there are pads & skates you can borrow for your first couple of times out and see how you like it!
