The server we play on is called SAESRPG. its a very well done RPG mod that has 100 or so players in it at a time.


U can be:

Robber
pickpocket
car thief
gun runner
drug dealer
taxi driver
bus driver
Mechanic
cop
Swat
Homelan
coastguard


and a whole bunch more. and u play that role to make money.

all players in the server are real people. all cops are real people.


u can go around shooting people if u really wanted to.. but the cops are good at what they do.

Now keeping in mind that the system requirements are Extremely low.

it requires a 1Ghz Pentium 3 with 256 MB of ram and 64 MB of video memory.

[df]Badass runs it on a shitty dell inspiron 6400 laptop.

perrin depositing his money after he robbed the bank.

I was playing at around 10-11 PM last night... There was half the normal amount of people playing on that server, so I went to the bank in the lower right corner of the map. Everyone else seemed to be running around the bank in the upper left corner of the map, fighting, getting arrested, etc.... But I was all alone on my side of the map except for one AFK cop, who I watched carefully on the map.

Anywho, I go to the bank, deposit all of my money from home invasions and stolen goods, then I decide to rob the bank while I'm there. It makes you wait for 4 minutes before it pays out... If you can stand there for 4 minutes without getting killed, arrested, or impatient, you get a lump some of money.

I got almost $50K, then turned right around and deposited it back into the bank that I just robbed.... Hahahaha.

Is it possible to host our own game server for this game?

Yes, it is.

We would need some sort of catch or gimic. i doubt it if that SAES:RPG mod is out for public release.

if we could get our hands on it and modify it further that would be cool.

I'm going to be the best damn drug dealer on the server.

I don't understand why people would choose to be a drug dealer or a hooker or a gun dealer or whatever... Those people wonder around the server, and try to get other players to buy shit from them... But you don't need whatever they are selling.

A hooker jumped in my car and a menu popped up asking if I wanted to pay her for sex... I decided to give it a try, we were teleported to a bedroom, where we sort of hovered above the bed, standing... There was a message on the screen that said something like, "If you don't have version ### you won't see the animation." Then we were teleported back to the car and I got arrested because I was trying to evade the cops when the hooker got in my car in the first place.

so I lost however much money she charged me, and i didn't get to see anything. lame.

Later, I was at the bank, and this random guy comes up to me and a white circle appears in front of him. I decided to investigate... stood in the circle and a menu popped up for buying guns... I bought some grenades, because they can be useful when you have an ass load of cops chasing you down.... But as soon as I closed the menu, a cop car ran me over and a cop bailed out of the car while it was still moving... The cop was able to stand up faster than me, and immediately tazered me... Then he arrested me. I never had a chance to use my new grenades. And the gun dealer got away.

He made $300 off of me, but I'm sure the cop made more arresting me, and I made more robbing houses, so it's not the best way to make money.

I don't see the purpose of drug dealers in the video game either... I haven't tried buying drugs yet, but unless they give my character super powers or something, I don't wanna buy any. I suspect they just make your screen blurry and make your character walk drunk for awhile.

hahahahahahahaah didn't they have "spank" in gta vice city it made you run fast as hell and punch people through cars and if you ran into a car while running really fast the car would fly. shit was like crack

Depends on the server. Different servers have different mods, similar to tribes...

I finally got it to work. Apparently it's a big deal when no one is a cop.

Go to the bank, you will find people about to deposit money. Kill them, steal their money and deposit it in your account and RUN before swat catches you!

I don't even go to the bank anymore...

I figured out that the fastest way to make money is to be a robber with a fast car... Drive around to the houses that you are supposed to rob as fast as possible and chase the flag anytime you get a chance.

Drive recklessly, because it's faster, cheaper, and easier to respawn and get your car back than it is to find a mechanic or a repair shop... Make sure that when the car explodes, you are close enough to it to die too.

When the server, or your client crashes, the game automatically deposites your money for you. So there is no point in going to the bank, especially if there are noob robbers waiting there to jump you.

I think it also auto-deposits when you disconnect, however, I'm too lazy to go through the quit menus, so I just use alt+f4 to quit quickly and ensure that my money got deposited.
