So, I was just putting the finishing touches on my new map, when my laptop's fan started sounding funny... And then my computer randomly shut off. I assume it overheated...

I let it cool for awhile, then restarted it, and it didn't even finish booting windows before it died again.

Windows 8 slates need to hurry up and hit the market!

Did you install it on a tablet pc, or was your experience a waste of time?

I just realized my bedroom is like a computer grave yard...

I have a gaming laptop on a laptop cart, a umpc on my night stand, 3 old laptops and my old gaming desktop in my closet, and none of them will boot, at the moment.

The only pc that boots in my house has a bad screen, and is plugged into a desktop screen in the office, but it's really old... I remember upgrading it up to xp even though it barely had enough ram.

I should probably look into how to properly dispose of these things...

it wasn't a tablet but it did have a touchscreen and it sucked.

With my next paycheck(s), I'll either buy a moped, or a new computer, I'm not sure which... Maybe both... I dunno.

Oh, and I tried to reboot again, and I don't think it's over heating any more... I think the hard drive failed. I hope that's not the case, because I have a lot of shit on there that I didn't back up.
