Why is it that while s2minute, ecko and scud can share an ip range at the exact same time however it isnt possible with another range and other people? Get real. Telling them to release/renew is a load of shit, because most likely, they'll get a new IP that is still within the ban range, just like EcKo does when he does the same... The range ban needs to be refined to pick off only EcKo's potential ranges, rather tossing out bans the size of the aids blanket.

Oh, and Bong, that screenshot does not depict STU killing kabkae in that screenshot... He did that before the screenshot was taken. That screenshot depicts STU shooting S']['U's unmanned vehicle, which S']['U had just dismounted. STU had been tracking S']['U for quite awhile, waiting for that shot.

Also, STU never offered to change his name, and you never publically told STU not to...

Watch the demos before you swallow anymore toes...

Oh, and you also asked why STU had to drop to avoid getting kicked, and therefor doesn't have admin... But he already got called out by Sabin, who said that the previous vote passed and the server informed everyone that STU couldn't be kicked, which means he's an admin, or at least untouchable. So STU probably dropped to avoid letting S']['U's demo record that server message the second time.

A smurfing admin would absolutely drop to avoid a vote, not to avoid the kick, but to avoid it showing, once again, that they could not be kicked by vote and were in fact an admin. You made a mistake the first time, one you weren't going to make twice. You really think we're idiots huh?

the drama here is being caused by an inability to move on from something we were unable to figure out.

That doesn't prove anything... You're harder to trace than EcKo... EcKo has 1 range... Because he uses Verizon Fios and has only moved once since he started playing Tribes. Quite easy to ban... There are only a few unfortunate souls in his range... But you have multiple ranges stemming from multiple ISP's...

The range you just posted includes IP addresses leased to Canada, USA, and Puerto Rico.

You have to trace each IP in the range individually to tell which ones belong to you. And it's not a single one as you suggest, you've had several IP's in that range, and logged a bunch of aliases. Again, I ask, why don't you play on your real name?

When I was an admin, I never had these problems, because I always played on my name, and my name had integrity... I never had to lift a finger to ban anyone (except tomato) because people saw that I was there and knew that they had to act right. But now, you've got admins that are horrible role models, fucking everything up... Now people connect to the server just to fuck with specific people, whether or not an admin is present because they know the admins won't do anything about it, because the admins would be hypocrites if they did.

As for the current ban setting in TriCon, I'm glad to see it's fixed, but why imply that you had it right all along when it's quite obvious that every one of those ranges was banned when EcKo was banned, and when they complained they were told to restart their modems.

That's novice tech support advice and you know it.
