phew, thought it was just my computer that couldn't see the server.
I was happy for a very short while...
lol. Ya Smoke, when you cannot see the server, it doesn't necessarily mean the server is down.
You can type a command into the console to try to manually connect. If the server is up, you will connect, if the server is down, nothing will happen when you press enter.
Once you are in Tribes, hit ~, paste this exactly... connect("208.99.194.178:28001"); then hit enter
Or for the BR lasthope server, change the 28001 to 28004.
