Title: Admin Abuse complaint
Description: dont know who did it

PoisonousFish - September 19, 2011 02:52 AM (GMT)
I was playing as PlasmaPinochet, and I got kicked out of no where by who knows on the br server at around 10:30-10:31 PM EST.

I wasn't bking, I wasn't voting, I was powning, and I was arguing with two people who were trying to troll me, and failing. They were voting to silence me, and kick me, and none of the votes passed. Then I get kicked by some admin. Here is the last portion of the logs in screen shot form before I was kicked.

I whited out any uncessary external convos that are irrelevent to the main thing, but the two guys trolling me in this pic are cubik and Exquisicat. One of them is claiming I bypassed a vote on me, but it didn't pass anyways, and he was voting to detongue me for ridiculous reasons, so why let some idiot ruin my game right?

I don't really care about the trolling aspect of this, I just want to know what admin kicked me for what reason.

Note this type of stuff doesn't really bother me, but I figure if we are permitted to complain about obvious admin abuse, I am going to go ahead and do it.

Thank you for your time.

u bypassed a vote by dropping and reconnecting when people voted to de tongue u when u were spamming the chatbox with insults in all directions trying to get a debate going.

You were not in any way participating in the gameplay.

You dropped and reconnected because u felt that there was a very good chance if not a guarantee that the vote would pass.

Dropping and reconnecting also proved u were not interested in the game whatsoever. just in trolling the chatbox.

This is something that i have had dozens of complaints on you about.

Dropping and reconnecting to avoid vote results is against the rules of the server and that will be the last time u do it or it will result in a ban.

Join the server and play and ud never have had this issue.

Bong, it takes two to argue. I was playing and shooting and I had a high score.

They were actively trying to argue with me.

I think that is fine for me to reply. This is what the ignore button is for.

If one doesn't have admin, and some jerk is trying to vote mute you, do I feel bad if you drop and rejoin to not get muted? NOPE.

why allow some moron to have their way with you?

If those guys were truly upset about the whole arguing thing they would have put me on ignore, lol.

You are misrepresenting or misunderstanding what happened, but tbh, I really don't care that much to take it further beyond this point.

You have replied, and I appreciate that, but it is clear to me that this is a waste of time, and I have better things to do with my time.

Again thanks for the effort.

and I will reiterate, this is not one of those times where I was trying to argue with anyone. I was drinking a beer and I was trying to snipe noobs. They were arguing with me, and I don't see anything wrong with replying.

Is this server turning into the 3rd reicht? It is okay to be a bad guy, hack the server, misuse admin, but it isn't okay to use free speech? lol

HOW SILLY!

Probably won't, but we can all hope for the best. =)

I refuse to see the logic of letting an asshole mute me when if he doesn't want to talk to me he can put me on ignore.

But I'm not going to turn this into a stu thing, got better things to do.

Have a nice evening.

the logic is that its a vote so if it passes then its not "some asshole" its the majority of the server.

the server patrons are allowed to vote on that kind of stuff.

the issue here was bypassing the voting by dropping and reconnecting when a vote was called on you.

yes i do not like when ppl drop to avoid votes either that shit is annoying as fuck and i would have to agree on bong with this one.

Actually fish, admins have been talking about kicking players who try to bypass serious votes.

I agree it's annoying. however, if someone drops to avoid a vote, they should be warned by the admin as with any other rule we have. the argueing in the server is also disruptive. we dont need to ask the entire server population to personaly mute one person either. thats were the admins come in. but as far as I know, the admins are still supposed to warn a player before takeing action. I could see this being done by an admin, IF, the player had dropped and rejoined , AND the vote had passed to kick him. then an admin should step in and force the ruleing on the other players behalf.

but this was not the case here. the vote failed, and he was still kicked. I see his point on this part of the post. as long as the player is still actively playing and the vote didnt pass, then the admin shouldn't have stepped in, other than to tell him that dropping to avoid the vote out come was not allowed.

I guess we will have to concider this a warning for the future !
