Title: [DISCUSS] Disney Princesses
Description: What do they talk about?

Klaske - April 10, 2011 05:52 PM (GMT)
I know we have the RPG, but now for a discussion: what would Disney Princesses talk about?

If they all lived happily ever after, after their movie (and they all live in the same world) what would they talk about when they get together?

In a Disney way, of course :P So no bloody stories from Ariel about how complicated Melody's birth was, or gossiping about Belle and Adam not being married ;)

Let me hear your thoughts!

TrudiRose - April 15, 2011 08:23 PM (GMT)
Belle would want to talk about books...maybe Ariel could talk about music?

DisneyPrincess - April 15, 2011 08:47 PM (GMT)
Cinderella would probably talk about the huge difference between servant life and castle life :P

I think Snow and Aurora would be fast friends seeing their movies' plots were similar. Evil witch, curse, and woke up with true love's kiss. They both have a cottage in the woods and have animals friends.

Cinderella & Snow would have clean castles and maybe have a habit of cleaning after their servants. XD

Yeah, the servants would be like me clean, you don't.

Anyways, The first three princesses would be probably be best friends. Then all the others would be friends.

Travel plans.

Cinderella... stuck at home all the time.
Aurora... only been a forest since she could remember.
Ariel... wants to know more about the world above and it would help her learn more about the objects she collected like mad.
Belle... she dreamed of far off places. I'm sure her Beastly hubby wouldn't mind getting out of the castle... was stuck there for endless years after all.
Jasmine... yeah, the magic carpet ride gave a feel that she saw the whole world. Well, I'm sure she still wants to see more.
Rapunzel... surely after the kingdom she'd love to see the rest of the world after discovering those atlases with Flynn.

I could see them all traveling, going on a cruise or whatever together. They all have the money for it.

Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Tiana and Rapunzel could swap and try out recipes. Maybe they'd plan banquets to introduce each other and loved ones to new tastes.

Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahontas and Rapunzel... nature, hiking, exploring... I could see them going out, trying new things, showing each other different sports and activities... Learn to swim, rock climb, climb trees, see nature at its finest... Many outings they could plan.

Their favorite music. Though the only one known to be musically instructed is Ariel and Rapunzel apparently taught herself how to play guitar, they all know how to sing and seem to love doing it to express themselves. They could even teach each other various dances from their varying cultures.

Belle could certainly introduce Rapunzel to new books since they both seem to be the only ones that are shown to have decent interest in them.

Their emotional traumas and neglect.
Snow and Cindy, though perfect, definitely could use some heart to heart talks, I'm sure.
Aurora and Rapunzel definitely could use some therapy after learning their entire lives were a lie and meeting their real parents should be awkward.
Jasmine and Rapunzel could likely bond over rants of being locked up in their homes.
Ariel, Jasmine and Rapunzel could all relate to having very overprotective guardians as well.
Belle and Mulan might relate in being the odd ones out.
Minus Aurora and Rapunzel they could all relate in missing a parent. I'm sure they'd all love to latch onto each others' parents for missing mother and father figures.

I don't think I have a fair advantage so I'll just enjoy the comments! :P

Thanks guys! This really helps (I have another secret project in mind ;) )

Meg, I'd love to hear your pov, you probably look at things differently then the rest of us do! :)

Ooo, I really like these ideas of yours, Nyxity! I could so picture it all in my mind. :)

I wanna ask why Mulan's in one of the Disney Princesses list? Cause she's not a Princess right?

She is not technically a princess in the movie, like Kida and Eilonwy who are princesses but their movies failed at the box office. Mulan is a good role model for girls and that why Disney included her.

Mike0908 - May 24, 2011 01:31 PM (GMT)
I read somewhere that since she married a general, that's like next best thing in their culture. Even though there were 3 princess in the sequel though.

They should have done a Disney Girl line to include the Princess & Heroines cause Esme, Meg, Jane, Wendy, etc. get left out. And Alice is put with Princess Merchandise sometimes for no reason at all.

Chow-chi - June 6, 2011 04:24 PM (GMT)
Whoa, whoa, whoa. DUDES. There is no way they'd all be so friendly to each other! 'Cept for maybe Cinderella. ANYWAYS, they'd all be pitted against each other! They'd like, trash talk each other openly. 'Cause, ya know, there are the princesses who are born royal, then the ones who marry into royalty, and the ones who technically aren't even princesses at all! So the ones born royal would be all high and mighty and tease the ones who married into royalty. They probably would make the technically-not-princesses sit at a different table!

Oh, and then there are the ones who are invited to the E3 Expo because they have worlds in all of the Kingdom Hearts games, and the ones who don't have worlds in the games, which includes the ones who only had worlds in one of them. Still, they will all be divided by gaping social barriers and continue to openly trash talk each other.

Airy - June 8, 2011 02:59 AM (GMT)
Haha. Wow, Czessie... Nice theory.

I can't really say anything though. I'm just watching.

Though I do agree with you all. Some would get along and have much in common while others...wouldn't.

Chow-chi - June 9, 2011 12:09 AM (GMT)
Hm. I might think that because I'm subscribed to Morloth88 on dA. You know how she always writes comics where the princesses are separated by unshakable social barriers.

I feel really sorry for Eilonwy, though. If my scenarios were true, that girl would be tortured.

Mike0908 - June 9, 2011 12:16 AM (GMT)
Then there's the Disney Comedy spoof on youtube.

Eilonwy: I'm Princess Eilonwy.

Princess: Who?

Eilonwy: From the Black Cauldron.

Princesses: Never heard of it.

As for your theory... I could picture Ariel's sisters being like that. But the rest I'm not sure. I think they'd actually all get along.

I mean in Kingdom Hearts Snow, Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, and Aurora met each other and they seemed to get along just fine. So I think they'd be friends.

Violet - June 10, 2011 07:35 PM (GMT)
Maybe Eilowny isn't a Disney Princess because she's based off a novel rather than one of Disney's original ideas?

I wonder where Pocahontas would fit into all of this? She's one of the more mature Disney Princesses so I guess she'd probably find more stuff in common with Belle or Mulan or maybe even Snow White in terms of the whole befriending animals thing. She and Jasmine could certainly have a talk about what it feels like to be forced to marry someone they don't love, LOL.

Tiana probably wouldn't fit in with any of the other Disney princesses just because she contradicts them all...she actually worked for her dreams as suppose to the others, who basically waited for something to happen to them. If anything I can see her being a bit of a leader actually ("Come on girls, we've got work to do! Don't go back to sleep, Aurora, etc.)

Funny enough, this topic reminds me of a fanfic I'm working on where the Disney Princes come together while their wives are away at a *Disney Princess* Photoshoot and complain about their lax publicity after their movies and how they've only been treated like accessories for their wives since their movies ended. In that version, all the princes hate Naveen because he thinks he's the greatest and make fun of John Rolfe since he's *technically* Pocahontas's husband. There's also a lot of rivalry going on since they're all guys and are trying to figure out which one of them did the most to save their respective princess (or just did the coolest stuff in general). But I just went off-topic, sorry ^^

Off topic, but very interesting. A man-wife! Awesome. :P

Violet - June 10, 2011 09:38 PM (GMT)
LOL. Thanks for pointing out the mistake (I'm going to go cry in a corner now). Although in my defense I can argue that John Rolfe IS pretty feminine, especially when compared to John Smith.
