Title: Hair Color
Description: Mundane, I know..

Okies, so I was talking to Jess (WickedElphie) and we had a debate about the color of Beasty's hair as a human. I say it's more of a strawberry blonde, and she says it's more of a dirty blonde. But I dunno since I think he has a lot of red in it.
Any thoughts?

How about a dirty strawberry blonde?
I always saw him as a strawberry blonde. It was like how I was with my dad's hair... I never could tell what color it was... it wasn't exactly brown, red, blonde... sort of... some odd place in between.
After many years of never knowing what to call my father's hair color, deciding the Beast Prince's was sort of easy... O.o...

I guess it would depend on the definitions of your computer screen too :P
I vote dirty blond :)

Definitely. I've seen shots where his hair is unquestionably red, and others where he's much more blond-brown without even a hint of red. So it's sort of hard to vote. In my first home video release version he's a darkish sort of blond. Personally I think they should have stuck with Beast's fur color for his hair to make him more recognizable, but what do I know? It only makes sense.
My hair is also impossible to pin a color on. It's a light brown (I think), but depending on how I do it and the light it can be either blond or darkish red. I hate filling out self-description forms of any kind, because two of the most straightforward questions are impossible to answer. Hair color? Brownish-blondish-reddish. Eye color? Brownish green. So I sympathize with both the prince and Belle, he with the ambiguous hair and her with the hazel eyes (see discussion in Bellerians for Belle's eye color).

LOL!
I'd except dirty strawberry blonde.
But yeah, I think it's true it's just one of things that just depends mostly on what piece of merchandise, art, or screencap you're looking at. As pointed out, Belle's eyes change, and Eric in different Disney products will either be a little daker than Ariel, but have more of an olive tone, and in others he's as dark as Aladdin.

I agree with that. :) Maybe they didn't want he and Belle having too similar hair color and end up looking like brother and sister.

I've thought about this too a lot, since BatB is obviously a Disney movie that I watch repeatedly. :P I kind of just pin down the hair color as an auburn/russet combination of some sort, because that's how it looks like on my old school VHS copy that I watch.
