Hey everyone! Nowadays, there are a LOT of rythm and music games around. Think about games like Guitar Hero, and you get the idea. Now, there is a music game for Nintendo DS, too, called 'Elite Beat Agents' over here, and 'Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!' in Japan. The game is all about listening to the music, and tapping to the beats. It's not very hard, yet VERY addictive!

Recently, I've learned that there are lots of people who like these games, and thus they've made a pC version of the game, called 'OSU!'. Though you have to register (which only takes a minute), you will have acces to the game, and will be able to download beatmaps made by other players. Those vary greatly, with thousands of songs to pick from, not only from popular music, but also from games and movies. There are several disney songs on there if you look for them, so I'd say look them up.

Seriously, if you love music even a LITTLE bit, and enjoy a game every now and then, you should check it out. It's a GREAT alternative for that lonely game of patience (as long as you take some headphones along). So, without further ado, take a look at the site, and go ahead and try it!

Have fun and let me know if you find any good songs!

EDIT: Just downloaded 'this is Halloween', the Marilyn Manson version. It's brilliant.

Wow, this seems like an interesting game! I'm going to have to check it out later. :D

I did download it and been playing it a bit. I am not very good - also because I have a laptop and always play from the bed, never from a desk, so that affects my accuracy quite a bit, but I love the game anyway, it has great songs.

I also made my own beatmap, it's quite simple. It's to Black Lace's song STAR TREKKIN. It's a fun song. Try out the beatmap: http://osu.ppy.sh/s/7863

Oooh, a custom beatmap. Have to give it a try once I get back to my PC next week.

I've tried making beatmaps, but my PC seems to have some trouble with it. It's an old PC, so that's to be expected. Also, I want to be able to not always follow the beat, but the words too, sometimes.

If you are interested in trying my favorite beatmap, it's here:http://osu.ppy.sh/s/5005

It was quite hard to finish, took me a few times trying. Also, I wonder why there is no Osu for mac yet... since there IS an I-Phone version. Meh.

Back to work!

I will give the song a try - but if it is too hyper, I will wait until tomorrow because I intend to go to bed shortly and I don't want to be hyper myself.

I am now working on a second beatmap to Pink's SO WHAT!

The "easy" mode is finished. I am going to start working on the more difficult mode, which will focus more on the words. I will need to speed up the tapping for that though.

The Star Trekkin' one was fun, though the hard mode can be re-labelled very hard if you ask me :P. It's REALLY hard to get it right after starting off with a spinner, you know? Couldn't even make it to the Klingons on the Starboard bow on that one.

Also, thanks for introducing me to a whole new song that's now stuck in my head for the next forsee-able hours :P. Well, gotta get going. Still working on my 'Sogeking' theme.
