Title: Ace's Break Away And Play
Description: storefront arcade in downtown Pittsburgh

This is one of my favorite local arcades. It is a small independent storefront arcade. It has a wide variety of people who go there but, generally it is middle aged people (who go on their lunch breaks I guess) and kids. There is this lady in her 50s who play ms. pac man all the time there. She must play the game for hours every day. There is a nice pinball selection too.

Games

Hydro Thunder
Soul Caliber 2
Marvel Vs. Capcom
Madden season 2
Big Buck Safari
Fast and the furious Drift
Star Trek Voyager
Ms. PacMan / Galaga
Target Terror
Tekken 5

Pinball

spiderman
CSI
Southpark
Family Guy
Ripley's Believe it or Not
Batman

Redemption

Deal or no deal
ski ball
mega touch like game???

Seriously, I want more info on that cabinet.

I will have to check it out. I honestly don't know if it was a megatouch but, it had a variety of touchscreen games to choose from. It would print out a receipt with how many tickets you won at the end of the game (not actual tickets which I thought was kind of strange).

It was similar to this style. I will take a picture next time I go down to the arcade.

Today was my first time going there in a few months. They got a gamegate VU set up with xbox360 and street fighter 4. You get 10min of play for $1 so that isn't too bad. They also got a warzaid which is set at 1 quarter.

Tekken 5 and Deal Or No Deal were taken out.

Took out the Deal or No Deal? That's surprising as that game seems to always earn well. It sounds like a pretty awesome place

Even tho it is small I would say it is the best pure arcade in the Pittsburgh area.

They moved deal or no deal to a different arcade. They have 3 arcades so the games get changed up from time to time.

They got a big buck hunter pinball (CSI pinball was taken out).

It was nice playing on a brand new table where everything was clean and worked perfectly.

Update:

Big Buck Safari, hydrothunder, and a pinball machine were taken out.

New additions:
Ironman Pinball, Terminator Salvation, Crisis Zone, and another game I forgot the name (late 90s/ early 00s. Combine crazy taxi with chase hq).

I think it is a sign of a health arcade when the games are in constant rotation like this.

Yeah, I've not heard of an arcade that changes out games as often as they do. I kind of wonder what kind of deal they have setup for that.

I made a short video walkthrough. It was my first time doing this so the video quality is so-so.

Very nice, it's great to see it. They are certainly making do with a small area like that. It was also cool to see the pins grabbing attention like that too.

It seems like more and more arcades are emerging, lets hope they stick around for awhile.
