Well I guess it's my turn to join the choir of Xbox owners who have had the three rings of death. I sort of expected this to happen sooner or later but I had hoped that I'd have one that was actually built decently. This is the first time I have ever had one of my game consoles fail on me, even my old Atari 2600's (I have three) still work flawlessly. Kudos to Microsoft for such a quality product! :rolleyes:

im on my third xbox 360 now, and like you have never had another console bust on me. Although i was impressed that I had my last 360 repaired & back to me in under two weeks. fingers crossed you get yours back soonish, especially if your hyped for GTA like I am.

I actually had one die last year. Was really upset about that was in the middle of playing Senko No Ronde and just bought the HD DVD player. Anyways all it made me do is play Ps3. Suprisingly all I ever played was Ps2 japanese arcade imports on it LOL. M$ sent me one back in a month and it worked fine up until I sold it last week when I bought a Xbox 360 elite and a Japanese Xbox 360. Hopefully they do not go bad on me.

I haven't heard of many Elite's biting the dust so that's probably a good buy. I just hope that the one I get back has all the modifications needed to run ok.

My girlfriend and I are really wanting to get a 360, but we're afraid it might burn out as soon as we get it. Plus its so close to the end of the 5 year lifespan. Not sure if Microsoft will announce a new console at this year's E3.
