I think this is common sense, but for some reason there are always people who come purely to cause conflict. It's a more enjoyable environment for everyone if you keep all drama in the roleplay where it belongs. 002. Active members are essential to any successful board. Please make sure you are on at least once a week to post, it's common courteously. Don't start a bunch of threads and than leave because it's very rude. 003. Please don't ask for staff positions. If I feel I need help, I will come to whomever I think is most equipped for the job. Registering 004. Please register with your character's full name in proper case. [First Last, not middle]. If something is to happen and you need your name changed, PM an admin or say something in the c-box. We have no problem fixing it if you make a mistake or if the cannon you sign up for is taken. 005. Check the canon list before you sign up. It makes it easier on not only you, but the admins as well. 006. If a canon character application is denied and has not been fixed in the three days given, the canon is back up for grabs. Someone may register for the character and submit a different application. 007. You may apply for original characters. 008. Names should be original and we would really prefer if they were not repeated. In Character 009. All roleplay must be done in third person. No exceptions. Ex. Severus glared at the student. Not, I glared at the student. 010. Spelling and proper grammar is a must. No chatspeak. Use spellcheck if you are a poor speller. There are numerous free sites that provide it if your computer doesn't have it. 011. Keep canons, canon. A Malfoy is not going to be best buddies with a Weasley. The forbidden love thing, you can do that, but keep this rule in mind when creating plotting threads. 012. Plotting threads aren't set in stone. The one thing I hate about plotting threads is that they are rapidly taking the place of real threads. It's okay to use a plotting thread when deciding relationships, but please remember to actually roleplay too. Just because someone has a current love interest doesn't mean they couldn't be interested in someone else further down the road. The same is true of sub-plots. They're to add interest, not exclude everyone from your character's life. 013. No Mary-sues or Gary-stus. Just don't do it. Everyone has flaws and if we feel your character doesn't, we won't accept them. 014. Characters must have a real reference. No anime characters or drawings. 015. Each post must contain two paragraphs of at least 6-8 sentences each, or at least looks like it does. If we think your posts are too short, we'll let you know. More will earn you brownie points. {{the phrase is 'comfortable liar' please finish reading}} Make sure each post is detailed enough to give the people involved enough to reply with. There are very few things more frustrating than not being able to post because someone left you nothing to work with. 016. Since abilities are able to be bought and won over time, we must emphasize the fact that characters will not be permitted a zillion different abilities. There won't be any vampire-magid-seer-prefects. It gives too much power to one character and makes things a lot less fun for everyone else. Other 017. It's not required, but we'd love for you to have an AV of your character for visualization purposes. Signatures must be kept within reason. A visual is nice-seeing your character's face taking up half my screen is not. 550x250 are the maximum dimensions. That's even pushing it. If you are planning to use LJ icons, you can have up to 8 of them. Anymore is annoying. 018. This board is rated R and for moderate-advanced roleplayers. There will be sex, drug/alcohol use, violence, and other practices that some people might find offensive. If you aren't mature enough to handle it, please consider going somewhere else rather than throwing a fit about it. We aren't forcing you to take part in these topics, but you are warned that they will be here.
