Steven and Ali, I have been praying for your friends. I recently started online classes so sometimes when I read the posts I don't always have time to reply.

I think that that our God has a plan for all of us.

I find consolation in that.

Our mortal life is but a minute compared to eternity.

Jesus told us "Your will be done" in the prayer to our God.

Hi everyone, I wanted to ask you for prayers for my sister. As most of you know my sister was murdered in 1987 by a serial killer. I have spoken about her many times over the length of our friendship. Its that time again and I wanted to ask you to keep her in your prayers and ask God to continue to keep taking care of her. I have not really said a lot about who she was, so below is a link to some info about her and a picture.

In the past, this time of the year (4th of July) was not the best time for me or my family and I’m sure it will always be that way I guess, but I’m one of many who miss a family member and think about them on the anniversary of their death. If you would pray for all those who miss a family member and ask for peace to come to them all. Thank you all!!

Gary, I just wanted to let you know that I read your prayer request about a week after you posted it and did pray for you and your family.

I can't imagine the pain of losing a loved one to murder. My heart goes out to you.

Thanks Linda! You know there are times that truly push you to the very limit of your breaking point, this was one of those. Its something i don't wish on ANY FAMILY and ANY MOTHER after watching my mother go through it.

IN the end God works i some ways that we just cant comprehend and 22 years later we (my family) are different people and we have worked though that pain. Not that were "fine" but we for lack of a better term "turn lemons into lemon aid" and work with the pain. I know y mom is still not good in the summer I have talked to many people many priests and good people with some life experiences i could draw from.

Thank you again...

Mississippi lost four heroes in the fight against terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan. GOD is ready to welcome them home. Pray for their families.

Need prayers for my uncle Ray. He's in the hospital with pneumonia. He's in his 80s and had a stroke some years back.

Please pray for my son Jimmy. He's having surgery on his back again. His last one was September last year but it wasn't successful. This one will be two surgeries in one. First they're going in through his front to replace a disc with a plastic spacer, then they flip him over and go in through the back to do another laminectomy and fuse two vertebrae. It's a six hour surgery which makes me very nervous.

Please pray that this surgery is successful and that he heals quickly.

Thank you,

Linda

Thank you Sue. I really appreciate it.

He was in surgery for nine hours and recovery for three. The doctor said today would be rough on, but I just spoke to him and he sounded better than I though he would.

Thank you again,

Linda

Request prayer for the daughter of a good friend of mine, I call her my adopted daughter. She is a retired police officer, Louisville/Jefferson county PD (Ky). Bomb squad & detective. She had a pretty serious auto accident last Friday. The other person was hospitalized. She is not seriously injured but is taking it Very hard and greatly depressed, not caring if she lives or dies. Please pray earnestly for her. Your prayers are greatly coveted and appreciated.

My family lost two close friends today:

Jack Nelson--Pulitzer prize winning journalist for the LA Times. He and my dad went to high school together and Jack came here to Biloxi to visit him a few months before he died.

Monsignor Andrew Murray. Msgr Murray died in Ireland while visiting family. He did my father's funeral mass and was my scout troop's Chaplain when I was in.
