Nancy,
This is a position that I endorse also. We have to educate ourselves on the candidates early so as to throw support behind the real conservative candidates. I am tired of voting and saying I was not voting for him but I was voting against another. What the Town Halls and the Tea Parties should have done is give us confidence that we are not alone in our battles to bring America back to the people. We need candidates that are set in the "core beliefs" that we agree with. Ones that will not just sell out their vote in exchange for a vote on their bill. Bills should always stand alone. We have too many laws already. Voting for bad bills just to get something accomplished is unacceptable. Bills should never have admendments that are totally unrelated. Bills should always stand alone. |

A little bit of good news for conservatives.
If we can win a few races where a conservative independent beats the RINO, Maybe, just maybe we can turn the Republican party around. http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/hoffman...omo_code=8F65-1 The conservative independent is the candidate that Sarah Palin endorsed, over the socialistic republican. |

Got this email this morning. My comments are highlighted.
There were pictures of the men with it but I deleted them. What the H--- is going on doesn't any of the congress know this? Now the latest arrests of terrorists doesn't bring to their attention where the DANGER lies. Can you even believe this?? Well, boys and girls, today we are letting the fox guard the henhouse. Tomorrow, the wolves will be herding the sheep! Obama Appoints two devout Muslims to homeland security posts. Doesn't this make you feel safer already? Obama and Janet Napolitano Appoint Arif Alikhan, a devout Muslim as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development Source for announcement: Homeland Security Press Room. http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_s...cretary-dhshtml The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) is proud to announce that the DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano swore-in Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim, who was born in Damascus, Syria as ADC National Executive Director as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC). http://www.adc.org/ NOTE: Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified as a devout Catholic, Jew or Protestant...? Just wondering Doesn't this make you feel safer already??] Devout Muslims being appointed to critical Homeland Security positions? That should make our homeland much safer, huh!! Was it not men of the "Devout Muslim Faith" that flew planes into U.S. buildings not too long ago. What the heck is this president thinking? This announcement was made on Aug 20. Why are we just now hearing about it??? Even better questions are: Where the devil is congress on this deal. Why are we NOT hearing something from them? Where is the Republican party? Where are our Republican representatives? |

Wow!!!
This once again is the speed at which they are moving things thru. By the time we get up to protest this, they will be doing another. With most of the media and most of the congress walking lock step supporting this Administration, we can not even find out about deeds like this until its old news. Who is for America? I guess Pravda the Soviet paper warned that we were headed into a bankrupt society. May be it is a Soviet paper that we should subscribe to, they might be telling more truth than the newsmen over here. |

I'm wouldn't get too cranked up over this unless they were picked out of the blue. One of them does have some background experience and education in security and criminology: http://www.dhs.gov/xabout/structure/bio_1250605425754.shtm the other, could not find much about other than this: http://www.csce.gov/index.cfm?Fuseaction=F...leStore_id=1026 They both appear to be moderates, but you never know where they would stand if push came to shove. |

What I can find out about these 2 is that they are 'moderate' socialists. They will be left of the moderate dems. You have a "devout muslim", born in syria, a terrorist state, and was a legal adviser to the ADC. He is supported by the ADC. 'nough said about him. Arif Alikhan is a devout Sunni and the son of Pakistani immigrants. For general information, most of the radicals belong to offshoots of the sunni sect of islam. Think long and hard before giving these people the benefit of the doubt. |

That may require the necessary short leash with close supervision.
Something this administration clearly lacks. So, agreed - given the conditions and the positions - this could be very dangerous. The fact they are probably socialists - goes without saying - so agreed to that, also. |

The RINOs have pretty well ruined the republican party. Gonna have to look elsewhere for conservative candidates. http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/32776/ Here's what the Republicans should learn. The tea party movement, if you think you're going to run people that are going to be, you know, ACORN wannabes and they're just part of the corruption, part of the system, if you're going to run those people, you can expect a tea party guy to come out, and the tea parties, they'll help you lose every single election. Every single election. Because I for one am not ‑‑ if I believe in the Republican, I'll vote for the Republican. But if you're running somebody who's like part of the system, I'm not interested. I'm not interested. And I think that a lot of Americans are like that. So the Republicans have a choice to make. You can either spend a million dollars trying to destroy a third party accountant, or you could say, wow, this accountant probably would come in within three points of beating the Democrat if we combined our efforts, Republicans and Democrats, spent a fortune, had our candidate then drop out and campaign for the Democrats, we might be able to come in with about a 3‑point margin. You might want to just say, "Maybe we should go with the accountants. Maybe we should go with the regular people." This post has been edited by Herb on Nov 4 2009, 04:22 PM |
