I have one of these that I bought 2 days after the announcement that Winchester's plant would be closing for good. It's a nice-looking gun, shoulders and sights so easy. I've yet to shoot it because I bought it to hold onto, but I just keep itching to shoot it.

Anybody have one of these and if so, have you ever used it for hunting? Any experiences would be enjoyable to hear.

I've killed more than a few deer with the .44 magnum Ruger carbine.

Great cartridge as long as you keep your shot to 100 yards or less.

I've also taken 4 or 5 with my Ruger Super Blackhawk. I always used iron sights and kept my range to 40 yards or so.
