It has been well known that Toby Keith is a democrat. He also is a patriotic American and has done much good with his celebrity. He doesn't deny the fact of where his political loyalties serve but at the same time he supports America and our military.

Unfortunaly, here in Oklahoma we have a disease that is called Generational Democrats. They seem really conservative in their values but, when it comes to voting they go the same party line that Pappy and Grandpappy did even though they are gun people and believe in GOD, they will still pull the lever for a Liberal. I don't understand it and I never will, I got some of them in my family and a few have disowned me for my staunch Political views. I think they still believe that old adage that the Democrats are for the Working Man when that hasn't been true for a couple decades now. I also can't understand how a projected Red State can go Blue when it comes to Local elections. I have lived here off and on since my birth and I have seen one crooked Democrat Governor after another and so many State Officials jailed for this and that and it never changes. I think Ole Toby is probably just another Stuck in the 50s Redneck Blue Dog Democrat that has not yet realized that his party left him a long time ago.

My sister told me about this earlier today. I knew Toby was a Democrat, but I figured him to be what you both just described. There are Democrats that are good people and even Christian to boot! Just stubborn die hards I guess.
