QUOTE
Mr MacAskill said: "There is no doubt that weapons such as hunting and combat knives can, in the wrong hands, be part of this problem.

"They can injure, maim and kill, and we need to make sure they are only sold to people with a legitimate reason for buying them."

Durn criminal knives must be kin to our criminal guns ... I better watch out for the 18 knives of varying lengths and designs that are on the credenza behind the chair in my home office. Thus far though, I have no knowledge of my blades doing anyone any harm on their own.

I poked Pete (in the pocket of his Levi's on his butt) with a paring knife once! It didn't draw any blood, but he'll never forget it! He'll never be fooling around throwing crab apples at me anymore either, nearly putting my eye out!
Knives, crab apples, stones, cast iron skillets ....the 'list of 'dangers' can go on and on! Just be careful who you're foolin' with!!
