I got to Adventure Island today after last weeks trip from hell. We got there about 11:30 first thing we done is Green scream then after that we went on Rage. After Rage we went to get some lunch at the jungle jive cafe. After luch we went for another trip on Rage. Then we went to the west side for a little bit. We had to wait for pharaohs fury for around 15 mins why they cleaned sick up. After that we went on Ramba zamba a few more rides on the west side. We went back to the east side for a hour went on Tidal wave blue and green a couple of times. Vortex, Archelon, Sky drop once . Then finally Rage one last time. Then we had to go home. So i have had a good day.

When waiting for Vortex i saw some over the hill models being painted. The was a huge undertaker model he looked finished. I also saw Jade Goddy from big brother who was on park today.

That Rocks we never get to go on trips like that (we never meet stars!!)

Here is my trip report from yesterday.
Got to the park around 11:30 there was hardley no one there so we got are band and started on the east side. After a while went to have some lunch at Jungle Jive then we had a walk around the park. Then we started on the the west side and I saw the girl who plays Dotty in Eastenders in the Barnstormers queue line. After we done all the west side rides we went on the beach for a while. Then we went back in to the park intill 8. Sky drop was having some problems around 4:30 and were doing test runs for a while. All the staff were in good moods and polite. The weather was great and it was over all the best visit I have had there ever.

i went to AI today, i arrived around one to find the park was packed but other than rage, over the hill and tidal wave the queues wernt too bad. i cant remember my exact ride count. after hearing every one say about the effects of oth i was pleased to find that not too many werent working and it was still a good ride, also rage seemed more rattly than usual and when walking past rage a phone fell out a womans pocket an smashed right next to me which really made me jump. overall a good day and i hope to go back soon.

im going 2 ai thursday or friday with my girlfrend :rolleyes:

date today: 12th may 2011. In this post i put about myself being drunk at a wedding. I WAS NOT DRUNK! i was a child thinking i was sounding hard by saying i was infact drunk. Yes i had a drink of champagne but no i was not drunk. I was being pathetic. And i just feel, that me being a christian, i would just say, getting drunk at a young age like 13, 14, 15 is not a gd idea. Im 16 now and have had a few occasions where i have been in a situation where there is drink avaliable but i know my limits. And i just feel its worth saying that getting drunk is not worth it. No matter how hard/cool u think u are. Anyways, back on topic. Basically, all them years ago, i said "ben, that was worse than if i was drunk". Anyways back to normal topic :D

I could write pages about my visit but i will try to keep this short. The park was very clean and tidy and looked really good with good theming in places. Sadly the Mighty Mega was closed during my visit (that's why it's not in the video) but i have to say there was engineers working on the ride all day and this was on a Sunday so well done AI.

My favourite ride is surprisingly not RAGE (that was my 2nd favourite). I have ridden all the EuroFighter's in the UK and although this is not the highest (Speed:No Limits) or Best themed (Saw: The Ride), Rage is very action packed for its size and still packs a punch above its size and overall the ride is pretty smooth. So not a bad coaster for such a small park.

I have to say my favourite ride in the park has to be Over The Hill. I'm not really sure why but its such an enjoyable ride. It could be all the different effects they have squeezed in there (Fog Machine, Strobes, Projectors, Air Cannons, Effects Lighting) or the cartoon style characters but its must likely to be due to the ride finale in the "Station" (This did make me jump first time around) which i think is just amazing as there is so much happening at the same time.

I got down to Adventure Island at arount 11.30 got my wristband and Im liking the new park map aswell.So first was the Lighthouse Slip we went round 3 times.(by the way went with my brother)

Next it was time for the mighty mini mega it ia alot faster up on that roof.

oth was shut around 8ish due to a speaker on the ride fell down i got told and one of the trains was roped up so no pasengers could get on it but i was the first in the stastion after all that.

cow jump needs some work done because it dossent go fast eneymore and is a bit stiff.

You were there yesterday? So was I! I don't think I would have recognised you, but for the record I was wearing a red shirt with a big "87" on it and bright white jeans.

I had a great time yesterday. Sticking with tradition I rode the Pharoah's Fury as soon after purchasing my wristband. Also sticking with tradition, it was a great start to the night! Ramba Zamba and Vortex were the biggest disappointments for me, unfortunately. Mini Mega definitely has improved with the extra leverage, much better now, and scarier!

Scorpion is still as great as it always was, and Dragon's Claw still packs a punch 10 years after it's construction. Happy 10th anniversary to the original DC!

Rage never changes, and is still the most thrilling aspect of the park.

Green Scream somehow feels better now, I would actually be sad to see it leave to be honest. It did provide one of the best moments of the night: for the first time in 11 years, it became the first ride to breakdown while I was on it! The front was already past the top of the ladder, I was a little further down the ladder. It was quite exciting while also a little scary, considering the angle I was at!

Archelon is now for me just a nice breeze ride, nothing more unfortunately. The blue tidal wave was a waste of time, apart from when I tripped up on the boat and actually got wet!

Had my first experience of the AI Dodgems, but went away with this plan: to never go on the Dodgems when kids aged 4/5 are on it! It felt more like the Go Karts, as for most of the time no-one was hitting anyone. I figured I'd get the ball rolling and actually hit somebody! It got much more exciting in the last minute, but by then it was too late. Sky Drop which I did twice, wasn't as good as it used to be (was shorter I felt) and one time, despite being a full carriage, I was the tallest and oldest rider! With the likelyhood of being the only person from the 20th Century as well.

In terms of everything else, staff were great and friendly (at the start I loved seeing the operator of Sk8boarda really getting into the spirit and loving her work! I wasn't on the ride though), the locker was of great use and value, hot dog delicious, wonderful atmosphere (even at 10pm, rides were still starting their runs!) and an overall a reminder that Adventure Island is a great place to be, and will always be special to me!

The compass on the east side(rages side)needs updating as it still says raging rider and blackbeards pirate adventure.

went yesterday all the charecters come out (snappy jane jj rocky captin rageman and even wizard dad) great to see them all dancing i also leant the japiness version of ymca.

in the workshop i saw some stuff that looked like train cariges that were black could these be eneything to do with 2011?

I went today and ther was some new park music for the 2011 season the carriages of the cho cho train were under the bridge along with some other stuff one of the charecters come out out even that the park was mostly empty all of oth is working again only 1 speaker in dock n quary was working fireball had 2 seats missing and it looks like new floor has been put down where cho cho used to be.

A bit random, but I remember going on the Raging River with a brand new Tamagotchi from Woolworths!

EDit: I will be going to the park soon so I'll put on a trip report on sometime in May.

i went today for the weekend of enchantment it was great to see entertainers walking around the park aswell as the jungle jive gang songs playing were disney ones mostly from disneys enchanted.
rage stage it was great to see the stage has had a revamp with a brand new background on it aswell as other signs the big speakers have now been moved on to the stage (not on a trolley thing like last year) photo of the stage

SKYDROP a new sign has been put up for it when i first got there the ride was closed with matence climing behind the seats.

Green scream im pleased with the new audio which plays at the station with the same voice as archelon

Over the hill the projecter on the lift hill wasent working so the sound wasent eather the witch wasent moving as well as the hound from hell projecter.

cho cho train its now set up in its new location next to skydrop it has been painted yellow with audio playing the clapsville man is there in the centre

blackbeards the wind wasent working in the mini cinema

the new littel sea life thing under the bridge is now open

Got to the park at 11am gates opened at 10:58 went around the constuction site of kiddie koaster about 11:30 hurri opened the gate to the workshop so we could see time machince getting built.
Got on some of the rides but it was so busy i missed some. the charecters come out during the day and for some reasson a block was walking around with donald duck (not ai staff) At 4pm they done a talent show on the rage stage (just when i was leaving :angry: )when i was about to go on sky drop it brock down got half way up and come down slow. A part from that it was a great day. :D

Kiddi Koasta was open, but the queue was too long and my friends did not want to go on it.

The Tidal Wave thing was probably a boat jam, they're fairly frequent and staff are well trained to deal with them!

It was a boat jam, we hasd to wait a while, but it got fixed. Also on a strange note, an op on Ramba Zamba asked me for a bottle (He needed the toilet).

Interesting... I doubt he would actually have used a bottle for that and he was probably just trying to be funny, but still probably not the most appropriate conversation to have with a guest!

What happened to Captain Rageman? I've seen his presence on signs, and seen all the other mascots including Snappy, but haven't seen Rageman since the year Rage opened???

He's regularly used in the shows at the stage, and was Jakey's best man on Friday, and can often be seen walking around the park.

I didn't see him on Saturday, good to hear that the park still use the costume.

Edit: Over the Hill looks really lovely with the new screens replacing the old TVs. Shame some of the end skeletons have been moved, that was awesome before, and what is up with the crack down the TV art the fake exit???

I arrived at the park at 5:50pm i was inpressed with the stage now with the speakers at the top looks very pro.

From 6:00pm the circus music turned off and i was inpressed that live entertainment was on all night aswell as having ai play there own music i will admit i did dance to ymca (the staff on ramber zamber forced us to lol)the entertainment ended around 9:30pm 1 hour befour the park closed.
I loved the new crooked house with the new lighting it was actally quite scary.
kiddie koaster was alright i went on this 2 times.
i noticed that oth and tidal wave have had new photo signs up and tidal wave has had its stairs repainted yellow.
I also noticed that the food stalls next to the stage have had a roof added on.
