Hi Jen

Thanks for the info about cauda equina. I shall be aware of it. I really don't know why it occurred two weeks ago. Luckily I haven't had another episode since. I had my discogram in June so I cannot say that having that was the cause. I was just sitting down reading a book. I had no notice beforehand that I needed the toilet. Strange, eh? Hopefully it is a one off.

23 years is a long time to be in pain, 10 years is enough for me. It is so debilitating. Looking forward to an active life after my op. Obviously not straight away - ha! ha!

biggrin.gif Hi Jen

Good Luck with your surgery next week. Hope it goes really well for you and you manage to get the rest of your life painfree very soon as it has taken so many years away from your life so far. Think maybe you were offered my cancellation on the 29th!!!!! But as you say you need more notice to prepare yourself don't you.
Anyway, GOOD LUCK!!!!
Love Gilly xxxx

Hi Gilly,
I'm sorry to hear it's been put off for you again. Do you have a date?
Not sure I'm any more prepared, at least I can sort a few things for work though beforehand and I don't think hubby could have moved his hols again as was given 29th in first place than it moved back a week. Still it takes as long as it takes and as long as we get the result, we don't care do we?
My osteopath recommended some v shaped pillows and if you're local Dunelm in Warrington has some for £6. So went after had my bloods done, they seem quite good in a chair not tried in bed yet as can't sit comfortably as pulls nerve even more.
Anyway suppose best try and get some sleep, at least getting up as I couldn't get off to sleep I've sent some work emails. can't say I'm slacking at home can they?
Hope you get sorted soon and thanks for the good wishes. Future here we come!
Jen
