tut tut tut ukpc & ray are like two old women nowt better to do than s*** stir & gossip you two need to get a life, nobody was kicked off the job by the police or anybody else,H.A.T.O.s wernt happy that a private escort was involved in moving the load as the load had to stop on the motorway to drop the height down to get under bridges as there wasnt a way round, H.A.T.Os showed the police a method statement on escorting that didnt involve a private escort this included the companys own escort vehicle,H.A.T.Os wanted to do the escort without a private escort involved but the police & the haulage company insisted that the private escort stayed, when we got to the motorway H.A.T.Os had two of there vehicles waiting with four motorway trucks with the big flashing arrows on, one H.A.T.O went about 30 yards in front running on the hard shoulder the other went to the back behind us also on the hard shoulder followed by the trucks taking up lanes 1 & 2 they also told the police that there two cars can stay but on the motorway they dont need the motorbikes so the bikes left, the bloke that we spoke to from H.A.T.O said that they are going to start & get more involved in the escorting of large abnormal loads on motorways with the intention of possibly taking over escorting but only on motorways.

i've heard on a few occasions that the HA want to take over escorting, cant see it happening myself. The main factor that led to private escorts was that the load wouldn't have to wait around at borders ect. anyway, what would happen when the load leaves the motorway network or enters wales or scotland. Mind you, it could put alot of us out of work, I can see a nice compensation settelment £££££££££ KERCHING £££££££££
