The lives of the rich and famous aren't always about their daily glory. Everyone has their low days, especially the famous ones who are constantly followed by the paparazzi. Regardless if you're followed by the paparazzi isn't always easy. They may not always have time to hang out with friends, or go out for a slice of pizza with their closest sibling, but they are the ones that everyone, especially the little kids, look up to.

It had been a rough night for Mandy. She got repeated phone calls from her ex-boyfriend. This just seemed to be getting piled up on top of her. With the paparazzi following your every move, and never being able to hold a decent relationship because any secrets would be uncovered to not only youreself, but the rest of the world.

As she pulled a hand through her dark brown locks, she approached the counter, taking a quick look through the menu. She hadn't even thought about what she had wanted before she had come in. Tea? Naw. Coffee? Eh. Hot chocolate? Yeah, okay. She ordered herself a small cup of hot chocolate, before slipping the man behind the counter a few dollar bills, telling him to keep the change. Hey, he was cute, afterall. And it did look like the boy needed a tip, even if it was a measley dollar and a half.

With cup in tow, Mandy turned towards the sitting area. It apparently wasn't one of the days when the place was packed, which was nice considering she had came here in hopes of having a little quiet time. She made her way towards the back of the shop, where the lights seemed to be a tad dimmer, and took a seat at a small table.

Mandy took a sip of her hot chocolate, letting the warm sensation of the liquid run down her throat. It reminded her of those chilly winter nights when she would go inside from playing with her friends, and her mother would make her a nice cup of hot chocolate to warm her up. Oh, how times changed.

For some reason, Emmy just couldn't shake the feeling of being a schoolgirl who had somehow gotten transferred to living the Hollywood Dream. Of course, she had only finished up her bachelor's at Columbia University a couple of months ago. Yes, Emmy was one of those actresses who actually had a brain, and it had only taken her three years to get the four year degree in Psychology.

What Emmy really needed was some tea. But not iced tea, like she normally loved. No, she wanted green tea. It would help cleanse her palate and make her feel healthy, which was always a good thing.

Emmy's hair was a dead give away of who she was. It was probably the most obvious thing about her, and once her curls were sighted, she often caught the glimpses of recognition in other people's eyes. "It's that girl," they seemed to think, "That one in that movie...what was it called? There was a lot of singing..."

Emmy ordered her tea, smiling at the guy, then turned around to survey the shop. It wasn't that she disliked people, but she really didn't want to talk to any girls about what it was like to kiss Gerard Butler. At least not right now. As if on instinct, she turned to the back of the shop, where it was dimmer. That was when she saw a figure that she recognized.

"Mandy?" She asked, stepping closer in case Mandy didn't want the whole world to know that it was her. But Mandy was a common enough name so that it wouldn't be a dead giveaway, like it would have been if her name had been Angelina.

Mandy looked up from her cup of hot cocoa with a soft sigh. The place just seemed to be a tad too quiet for her liking. Even though, she had come into the shop for little bit of quiet time, she was used to the loud, constant "Mandy, over here!" from the paparazzi.

She hardly noticed the door to the small shop opening up, but her mind had led her into one of the deep, dark passageways of thought. As the door open, she glanced up quickly, not taking much thought into the person walking in, and returned to her small cup of hot chocolate. In fact, she didn't even take into account that she may have even known her person, until they approached her. She nearly jumped as the person whispered her name. Constant harassment of the papparazzi did that to a person.

She looked up quickly, eyebrows raised, expecting a reporter, or a camera in her face, but instead to be greeted with a familiar grin. "Oh my god!" She said, a tad too loudly, before putting on a wide grin of her own. "Hey!"

Emmy was relieved that Mandy hadn't tried to hide her face, or anything. That was the general reaction of most stars when they heard their name called. Emmy wasn't quite famous enough to be stalked by the paparazzi, though they often "turned up" at places they knew she liked to frequent, such as her favorite book store, or her vocal coach's neighborhood.

Emmy slid into the seat across from Mandy, setting down her tea before placing her shoulder bag at her feet. "How are you? You seem kind of...depressed," said Emmy softly, searching for a more eloquent word and failing. Blast it all! And she had wanted to seem smart, too. But that was what her life seemed like, sometimes; the constant search for the perfect word.

She took a sip of her tea, feeling better instantly. This running around constantly couldn't be good for her body, or her voice, and she was about to begin recording a cd.
