Caging the Beast, Tide and the HFC

[Tide]

((OCC;Sorry I was waiting for Dia and a few others to post again but since we must keep this going and I am being waited on I shall post))

The party on the backlawn was now becoming rather chaotic and Tide was not enjoying being out numbered. He could not keep Jean protected with everyone trying to get to her, this was a bad situation and was becoming worse with each addition. Tide surveyed the battlefield as was and trying to keep tabs on his comrades.

Blacklight was battling it out with Wade and by the looks of it was not fairing very well, Kryos was chasing Wade who was chasing blacklight.If kryos and Blacklight worked together they would be able to put up a better frontagainst the crazy loud mouth. Tide turned his attention to the Several Xmen running toward him and Jean and was hoping someone would slow them down. The Man with the Claws looked like the biggest threat, there was also another there who could control wind, and the last was a man with an interesting pair of sun glass, all of which seemed to be heading in his direction.

Selene had attacked the physco physhic ninja woman which help even the playing feel, but not enough to really slow the others. The woman who could control metal was going to be a real pain

[Turk Blue]

With the teke ninja down, it was time to move on to bigger prospects. One was gray woman, who's appearance on the field of battle had tipped the odds slightly. But the club still outnumbered the opposition, and it looked like Shaw was going to personally handle the mouthy one. Two more targets had arrived, and it looked like the one in the wheel chair was leading the charge on this. Two small orbs formed in his hands, as he tossed them at the chair bound bald man. At this point, he was just a casualty of war.

[Psylocke]

Psylocke's teeth grinded as she was heading at great speeds for Dia. "Betsy, what the hell are you doin, toots?!" With Wolverine's animal like speed, he was miraculously able to spear her right out of the air and onto the grass. The teke ninja was not without resources of her own. Both Psylocke and Wolverine were masters of the Eastern Martial Arts. She latched onto Wolverine as she landed on her back, thrusting her legs up, which would then force Wolverine into the air as Psylocke's body rolled. The look in Psylocke's eyes as she stood again was deranged and angry. Then there was a flash and the ground shook as Turk's explosion erupted on the grounds in front of Charles Xavier and Scott Summers.

Selene stepped back as Jean's darkside started to take control. A telekinetic should surrounded her body, making Selene back up. Her abilities had done their job even though Jean's psyche was still struggling inside. Stay away from her! came the yell of a younger X-Man. Selene repositioned her high heels and pulled her cape up in front of her face, blocking the wind to the best of her ability all the while crouching to reduce wind resistance. It was then that the Black King ordered Selene to assist the others. Slowly, the Hellfire Club was being overpowered, especially with Charles Xaviers appearance. Selene had felt the full blast from Xavier's mind once before, and it was something she never wanted to feel again.

Pulling away from the Astral Plane, Selene was ready to do some damage. Jean's physical body had been converted to the darkside and Madelyne Pryor would take care of Jean's kicking and screaming psyche with the combination of her mental prowess and her goblyn magic. Selene's eyes dilated as she took in the entire battle arena. She'd been targeted by Monsoon, but he was nothing but a fruit fly in the war of giants.

"Must I take care of everything Sebastian?" and just as she finished speaking, a powerful blast exploded on the Estate in front of Xavier and Cyclops. Selene couldn't see behind if they survived, and with Xavier's appearance, she didn't dare reach out with her own telepathy. The Black Queen was a master at covering her mind from more powerful Omega level telepaths. "Go my Inner Circle.... Take the girl with you. Prepare her in the catacombs! Hellions, cover their retreat! Leave all else to your Queen." Selene saw how her team lacked organization and teamwork, making them far inferior to the X-Men.

Selene didn't have the power to take a full X-Men assault, but she was near the height of her power thanks to the souls and lifeforces of many strangers. Before she began an assault, she turned to Tide, who was nearby. "Tide, there is a lake nearby. I shall guide your mind to the resources there. You shall be the last to leave, covering the others escape. Go with the others using the lake to create a small scale tidal wave behind you. The X-Men shall not follow." and with that Selene used her telepathy on Tide's mind, which was a bit painful in the beginning. She used her mind to let Tide see the lake, and pushed his abilities, temporarily unlocking some mental boundries. It would exhaust her leading Hellion, but once the Hellfire Club's goal was achieved, he would have all the luxurys and rest he would need.

Selene stomped her foot causing the ground below to mold like a wave of her own. Any bushes or debris was uprooted and thrown out of the way as her tidal wave of the Earth below flowed at Monsoon, which would throw the boy far into the sky. It rippled at a speed impossible to outrun by normal standards.

The grey metal manipulator was the only X-Man able to immediately attack Selene, but Selene did not worry about such an attack. Even with her manipulations of metal, Selene could turn it to ash by extending the power of her mind. "GO!" she yelled to Blacklight and Kyro. Deadpool was a worthy opponent, but his abilities were far too mortal to harm the Black Queen. Her greatest worry was Charles Xavier's survival.

Selene moved her hands quickly calling forth her Dark Arts. "Arise demon!" and out of nothing a demon standing around 7 foot tall appeared in front, targeted at Deadpool.

(OOC: It's not too powerful and feel free to NPC it yourself, and have fun.)

Selene was exhausting too much power and it was beginning to take it's toll. Gradually, it had aged her from looking the age of 16 to around 20. She held a piece of Psylocke and Jean Grey's energy backing her onslaught.

The flash of light brought forth great concern in the purple headed mutants mind, bringing waves of her own mentality with it. Psylocke dropped to one knee with the pain of the ensuing headache. Selene's control was not as powerful on psychic mutants due to the natural strength of their psyches. "Logan my friend... I apologize. My actions are not my own..." and she let out a exhaustive expression as she was still fighting the mind control of the dark clad Selene. "Is Xavier...?" she worried for the worst.

[Dia]

(OOC: I didn't realize I was being waited on, I was waiting on others to give them a fair chance to post.)

Dia had little time to react to Psylocke but that didn't stop her from moving her feet up from underneath her body in order to maneuver away from an attack. Fortunately her actions became unnecessary as Wolverine was able to pin the ninja telekinetic down but that didn't mean the ashen female had time to take a breath of relief.

They were outnumbered but how did numbers matter when it came to strangers being on the mansion grounds attacking one of their own?

Producing four clones of the initial staff Dia had a total of five staffs and this wasn't even within a yard of touching just how much she could handle and do. Two staffs were aimed for each of Tide's sides, two staffs headed for the back and front of Selene, the final fifth one floated near by the mistress of metals.

Just as she was getting a sense of rhythm the energy based mutant threw a ball toward the Professor. A quick and steady stream of dark gray liquid oozed out from the palms of her hands which hardened as soon as it hit the open air. The stream headed for the professor in order to provide him with some sort of protection.

While she was distracted every last of the five staffs fell to the ground as all her focus was on saving Xavier.

[Tide]

(OCC- Has everyone replied that was going to, reply because if they have and we are all ready, I can tie up this thread. I have to wait to finish it off until everyone who wants to reply , replies.)

((OOC: I was waiting on Maddie, but I will post later to respond to Xavier and then I guess things can be wrapped up. :3))

Professor...?

His voice seemed so distant as the darkness remained. Where was she? She felt weak, almost as if something was draining her power and with that her will weakened as well. But...

"Selene...and Pryor...they're..."

"...no longer your problem."

Silence.

Jean didn't have the strength to argue with her conscience. Maybe this was all bad dream that she would wake up from, hopefully soon, then she'd definitely go to the Professor for help. She thought her nightmares had subsided as a result of her gaining control over her growing powers; that obviously wasn't the case.

The telekinetic barrier effectively kept the voices of her friends and teammates out as well, all to add to the illusion that Jean truly was alone. With Selene's orders to her Hellions however, the barrier fell almost on cue, as did Jean's body.

As for just who it was that was now laying before them on the ground...

God help them all.

[Madelyne Pryor]

(ooc)Apologize for the lateness we are just getting back to normal around here after turkey day.

even before Selene had been called to deal with other issues Madelyne was already working her magic on the X-Woman. Her past experiences had helped her prepare the next time they fought and this time she was ready.

She felt the turmoil in Jean's body. The battle over her mind and with a little pushing from the Red Queen she was able to accomplish what they had been sent to do.

She stood back for a moment to look at her work and a sly grin came on her face. The madness in Jean's psyche, the darkness, was always just below the surface. And the fiery haired Red Queen knew she was like her in more ways then one even if the two were polar opposites.

{"It's done."} She responded simply to those who needed to know. Maddie had her victory. Her revenge for there past encounter.Whether those present or not knew it hell was just unleashed.

[Tide]

Tide waited for his team mates to all retreat before he let his mind give into the power that Selene had shown him, as soon as his mind touched the depth of the small lake his mind was instantly lost to the power of the water. Tide had never controlled so much water in his life and felt small against the awesome power of the lake. He could feel his body fall to its knees as he struggled to get control, no matter what he did however he could not seem to force the water to his will. He could feel his mind beginning to break, the hum that the water gave off was now deafening as he place his hands on the ground before him trying to hold on.

Tide could not fail here!!!

He could not let his friends down!!!

He had to push through for them!!!

That was when Tide felt it, the power that was once lost to him was not given to him in a small dose. He tapped into it and felt the strain on his mind ease a little and he pushed himself off the ground and stood tall. Blood was running from his nose as his body began to shut down but he had to give it everything he had. Tide force the water to his will and it seemed to obey for a moment and that was all he needed as he threw his hands in the air and brought them down in a great sweeping motion.

Moments later you could here the wave tear through the tree as it raced toward the mansion. The water uprooted tree and wiped out anything that got in its way. The water would not be slowed down by anything less than something more powerful then the wave itself. The manison would lay in ruins if someone did not slow the water onslaught down.

Tide was on the verge of collapse but he had to run and escape and even he would be washed if he did not flee from this place. Tide took one last look back he hoped that they would be able to make it out alive, Tide hated to kill the innocent.

[Professor X]

[NPCing Cyclops

So much going on at once, but it was his plan to stop Sebastian Shaw in whatever he was doing, however it seemed like the Hellfire Club were getting ready to retreat. "Leave her alone! Cyclops shouted to them, getting ready to rush to go after his wife.

However, it was a powerful blast by Selene that Cyclops had seen coming. Looking to Xavier, he rushed to him, taking the professor to the ground to protect him. "Professor!"

NPCing Professor X

"Yes Jean! It's me. I am here to he-" the Professor was cut off, being tackled to the ground by Scott in order to avoid the attack from Selene. He had battle Selene before and it was not an easy task.

There was smoke everywhere, Xavier could not see with his eyes, but with his mind was at ease. Once the smoke cleared up, Xavier was okay. He wheelchair was knocked down and he was down on the ground, unable to walk. Scott? he asked for the field commander telepathically. Cyclops was nowhere to be found, and when Xavier looked on the ground, he only seen the visor that Cyclops had worn. Nothing else.

Before Xavier could respond, he sensed the wavem the wave brought by Tide that was heading right for the mansion unless someone had done something about it. "X-Men, the wave is coming to the Institute!" If only Ororo was present at this time, but she had been summonded in Wakanda. However, there was Forecast, who was their best chance of stopping the wave. "Forecast! I need you to stop the wave from coming! I know you can do it, just let me lead you." Xavier sent telepathically to Forecast, if given permission, Xavier would guide Forecast with his powers. The boy has grown over the years and this was a time to prove that if anything, to save the lives of the student body, as well as the X-Men.

[Monsoon]

Zac had taken Selenes attack dead on, sending him flying through the air and down to the ground rolling. The mutant was hurt but he wasn't fully down for the count. It was then he saw the blast where Cyclops and the Professor had been, "No!" he shouted, the wind around him began going insane. Sweeping around the mutant in a vortex like formation, Zac then heard the Professor, he was ok, that was all he cared about, but what about Scott? A member of the Hellfire Club used Breakstone Lake as a water supply and had created a tidal wave which was now coming at them. "Ok" Zac said, "I'm ready Professor!" Zac shouted in his head. Zac couldn't see in his mind him stopping this massive wave by himself, he didn't understand how he was going too, but the Professor said he could do it, so he knew he could.

Zac ran infront of the mansion, he could hear the water ripping through the forest, it sounded like a freight train, he had to act fast. Zac waited for the Professor to tap into his powers, he would need his help after all to stop this destruction before it made it to his family and home. The mansion had already been destroyed once, and he'd be damned if he let it happen again.

Zac could actually feel it, the Professor's powers entering his mind, he couldn't actually feel it, but he knew he was already in his mind. Zac didn't feel any different, was he going to get liek a power boost something, because if so it hadn't happend yet. Suddenly Zac saw it, the wave tore through the entrance of the forest, it was huge. Zac had to act now. He closed his eyes and began concentrating, he had to dig deep and pull out all the strength and power that was left in his body. "My boy now!" those words filled his mind, Zac opened his eyes and launched his hands forward, a massive rush of wind lashed out from around him, clashing with the wave. The wave was the strongest thing that Zac had ever felt, it was still coming even though Zac was pushing back at it.

The wave was still heading towards the mansion, it had slowed down some but was still coming. Zac was giving it everything he had, he could feel his strength beginning to leave him, he couldn't hold on much longer. Flashbacks of his life at the mansion began filling his head, all the times he had as being a student, all the fights, all the training, all the laughter, but most of all all the love. Zac couldn't let the wave wash away his home, he wouldn't. He closed his eyes one last time, and started thinking about Nemo, he could see him cheering him on, telling him that he could do it. Zac smiled and opened his eyes, the wave was closer now, but Zac wouldn't let it get any closer.

He let out a violent yell, pulled back his arms and then launched them out one last time. Wind blasted from everywhere behind the mutant, it was more than he could handle, he formed what he could into a wave of his own and sent it forward. His wave crashed against the wave of water, and began pushing it back, putting all his energy into this final attack. Zac pushed more and more wind into the wave, finally he was able to push the wave away from the mansion and back into the empty lake.

He had done it, he saved his family and friends, but he wasn't in the best of condition. The young man hadn't realized this, but he was bleeding from his nose pretty bad, he suddenly felt dizzy and black surrounded him. He fell unconscious and fell to the ground. He needed medical assistance, and he needed it ASAP.

OOC: Was given permission to RP the Professor via Pm, and Zac's out for the count now lol. Im gonna start a thread in the med bay unless one is already being planned or something
