Alex had been on a small vacation for about a month now and decided he needed to get back to training with his powers. He thought that he would rather enjoy this as he knew exactly what his plan was for practicing. He had gotten a skeet thrower and was going to blast the skeet as it came towards him. He could change the shooting speeds of the thrower so he could practice his reflexes as well as his aim.

"Now let's go slow at first" Alex said with a smile. His removed his gloves and began to rub his hands. He then just stared at the thrower. His hands began to glow a bright red as his powers began to charge up. The first disk was shot towards him. His hand lifted up and a red beam was fired at the disk blasting it. He did this several more times until he destroyed ten disks straight.

"Okay now that was too easy so let's speed this thing up" Alex said with a laugh as he cranked up the release time. He got back in his spot and waited. Suddenly several disks were launched at him. He once again began firing beams at him. He blasted ten disks thinking that it was over. Yet another disk launched unknown to him. All he could see was the blazing orange disk come right for him. The disk hit him in the forehead sending him to the ground.

"One disk and out?" Said Lorna. She had been walking around the forest, following the loud noice from Alex's powers. She walked over towards him. She stood over his body, lying on the floor. She smiled then laughed. "Didn’t know you could get out that easily" She spoke, still smiling. She looked to where the disks where coming from, she held up her hand, and they stood still. She smiled, and offered to help him up.

She had a black top on, with some jeans. Her top was a very low cut, she so had a vest on underneath. If he took her hand, she was going to pull him up. She smiled again. "Are you hurt?" She asked, a little concerned about him, hoping that he was going to be ok. Seeing as Lorna & Alex where very old friends. She still had a very big crush on him.

"A clay disk going 30 miles an hour that has something to do with it" Alex said with a small smile. At first he thought he was only dreaming that it was Lorna. Yet he soon realized that it was really her. He took her hand and stood up. He took the remote out of his pocket and turned off the disc launcher. He placed the remote back into his pocket and turned to face her.

"Glad to see your back" Alex said putting his hands into his pockets. "I thought everyone besides Storm and the professor had left already. I guess even Scott decided to leave me aswell."

"Where would I go? This is my only home" She said, she smiled and pulled him up, when he took her hand. Lorna smiled and pushed a stray hair from her eyes, so she could see him better. He did look well, very well she was thinking to herself. She let go of his hand, letting both her hands swing down to her sides. She looked back at him. "You know Scott, Alex he’s not one to stick around" She said, she wasn’t saying anything bad about his brother, heck no!

She was being nice, sort of. She smiled again, looking at the disc launcher. She looked down at her trains and kicked at the ground. It was full of lathes after all. She looked back up at Alex and smiled again. "Why did you go?" She asked, she didn’t want him to go away, but she was glad that he was back

"That is true about Scott" Alex said with a nod. Then she asked him why had he left? He knew why he left in the first place. Yet the only problem with that is the fact that he didn't know why he chose to stay away for so long. He looked down at the ground for a few moments. Soon he took a deep breath and looked back up at Lorna.

"I left to try and find Scott" Alex said in a calm tone. "When I couldn't find him I decided to go off on my own for a little while. Travel around and learn to expand and grow with my powers. I decided to come back when I thought I should. I just never quite expected that you would have come back aswell."

"I got lonely exploring. And I ran out of brown hair dye" She said, sighing a little. She had to dye her hair blond when ever she went out in public. Only because of her light green hair. She ran her hair throw her hair and smiled at him again. She missed Alex as well when she had left, she came back to see if he had returned. But she returned before he did, sadly.

But she was happy now, because she had met him again. She looked at him, going a little red, she looked away. :blush:
She smiled again, she moved her fingers, holding out her hand, and his control came out of his pocket, and fell into her hand. She looked at it, and smiled to herself.

"I liked your green hair" Alex said with a small smile beginning to grow on his face. He watched as Lorna held out her hand. He began to feel the remote shoot out of his pocket and land in her hand. He let out a brief laugh as she did this. "I see you have gotten stronger with your powers. The same goes with me though. Yet my hands still hurt when I have an excess build up of energy."

"I'm really glad you are back Lorna" Alex said looking into her eyes. "I missed you alot."

"I know you do, but I have to dye it, if I’m going into public" She said, she also smiled towards him. She held out the remote towards him. "It’s light and easy" She said, smiling again, when he had said about missing her, she went bright red, and looked away. She didn’t know what to say, to what he said just said. "I missed you as well Alex" She said, looking at him, her face still bright red. She moved back a little, putting her hand onto her face, she was really hot now, but still very shy about what he had just said.

Alex let out a small chuckle. He missed Lorna and still had feelings for her. That was not why he had laughed. It was due to the fact that every time he made a comment about her, her face began to grow more and more red. He didn't know if it was because she was embarassed or shy. Hopefully he would find out why though.

"I am surprised you even want to be around me after we broke up" Alex said in a calm tone.

"You where a jerk. But.." She couldn’t finish her sentence. She still liked him a lot, she wanted to be with him again, but he probably didn’t, She was unsure the moment. She looked away from him, unsure of what to say. She pushed her green hair, behind her ear, her face still bright red. He always seemed to know how to make her go red. She smiled as she continued to look away from him. "But I cant stay mad at you forever" She said, thinking that was the only thing to tell him, other then that she still liked him.

"Well it is good your even talking to me again" Alex said in a calm but low tone. He looked down at the ground trying to think of something to say. He knew he still had feelings for Lorna. He even regretted even getting mad at her. He didn't know if she still had feelings for him or not. He then looked up from the ground trying to catch a glimpse of her face again.

"Did you ever regret us breaking up?" Alex asked in a soft but curious tone trying to face Lorna.

Lorna thought for a few moments. She was thinking deeply.. Did she regret it? She didn’t know fully. She looked down at her feet, knowing the answer was not there, it would be inside of her. She took some of her hair, playing with it in her fingers as she thought for a few moments. Did she miss being with him? She still didn’t know, but if she didn’t miss being with him, why did she come back to see if he had returned yet? She just.. Didn’t know. After a few moments silence she spoke. "Yes, I regret it"

Alex was struck by the silence. He felt embarassed by Lorna's silence. He missed being with her. Which was one of the reason's to why he had chosen to leave. He didn't want to be reminded of her. He then heard her response. He was happy that Lorna still had feelings for him. Yet to what extent.

"Did you ever want us to get back together since you heard me coming back to the Mansion?" Alex asked in a calm tone with a hint of cheerfulness.

"Let’s just say.. I came back to look for you, but I came before you" She said, wondering what was with all the questions so suddenly. She looked towards him, her face not so red now, she smiled. She pushed her hair out of her eyes again. She looked at him and caught his eyes, she went red again, but continued to look into his eyes, smiling. She defiantly wanted to be together with him again, but she was unsure of herself, if she should or shouldn’t.

"I began to regret it about a day after we broke up" Alex said in a low tone. He just stared into Lorna's eyes. "I wanted us to get back together but you had left. So I decided to leave for a while trying to get my mind off things. I decided to come back when I heard a few things about the Brotherhood."

"I'm sorry for getting mad at you Lorna it was a stupid mistake" Alex said rubbing the back of his head.

"I know.." She said, never taking her eyes off his. She slowly moves closer to him, she stretched out her hand, and took his, holding onto his hand. She gently rubbed her fingers agent his and smiled. Seeing as she had left for a while, she couldn’t even rember what they had argued about, she just remberd that he got angry, and they split up. But she wanted too much to be the person in his arms again, before a girl got there before her, which would possibly just make her really jealous. She looked into his eyes and smiled again.

"You always knew a lot though" Alex said with a laugh. It was true that on many accounts Lorna was much smarter than him. Yet that did not mean he still had his own few moments of genius. These moments mainly involved his own powers or his given fields of science. He soon broke from his concentration and turned to Lorna.

"Do you want to maybe give things another try with me tonight?" Alex asked in a calm tone. His entire focus was on Lorna. "I understand if you don't want to."

Lorna whent red again, and smiled, but she kept her eyes on him. Always on him. "Allright then" She said, smileing again. she was now looking forward to it. It was a bit strange, but she was deffently looking forward to tonight now. she ran her other free hand throw her green hair, Her face was still bright red, she was just shy, so it was nothing really bad. She smiled again, hopeing to cover it up.

She continued to stroke his hand with hers, as she held onto his. Maybe he did like her after all, she felt hopefully now. She just hopped that he wouldn’t be a jerk tonight and get mad at her again. That would be so very upsetting.
