Title: Food Run
Description: For Cran, Storm, Robsi, and anyone else
Cran Kuris - February 9, 2006 08:40 PM (GMT)
Cran 'shifted to a Subaru Outback, and he was waiting for Storm and Robsi to get in. He was to be the transportation to Sydney, where they were getting food for the X-base.
(Ta Da!)
Storm - February 11, 2006 01:26 AM (GMT)
OOC: Lol Bravo.
IC:
Ororo went to go into the driver seat, but instead, the accidentally went to the wrong side. Ororo seemed to forget that Australia driver seats are opposite of America. She laughed under her breath a little and headed to the other side. She opened the door, or at least Cran, and sat in. She awaited for Elena and for Cran to drive off.
Cran Kuris - February 14, 2006 08:16 PM (GMT)
Cran voice sounded like a cheesy tour guide recording. "Welcome to Sydney's self-guided food runs. My name is Cran, and I will be your car today." He laughed, then returned to his normal voice. "I wonder what Elena is doing that is keeping her."
OOC: Cran>> :poke: <<Elena
Robsi - February 14, 2006 10:47 PM (GMT)
((Elena >> Eeep. Sorry - didn't know this existed yet.))
Elena hurried after Storm, having stopped to re-tie her shoelaces and it had taken longer than expected when she managed to, in her haste, tie them together.
Smiling, she can't help but run a brief scan to find out if they are annoyed at her. To her surprise, she only finds vague irritation that a simple appology ought to right. The urge to probe deeper is almost overwhealming - she wonders if they know of her ulterior motive for voulenteering. She resists, however, not wanting to invade their privacy. And besides, Storm would probably know - Xavier had taught all his X-Men a little about fighting psionic influences, or so the rumours went.
"I'm sorry I'm so late. I had to tie up my shoe laces, and they got all tangled. What'd I miss?"
Storm - February 15, 2006 02:19 AM (GMT)
Ororo smiled to Elena as the entered the car. This would be a great time to begin to get to know both Cran and Elena much better. Ororo did not know much about them. "You missed nothing at all Elena. We're just about to head off." Ororo said to Elena. Ororo assumed that Cran would soon start to drive. "Buckle up my dear." she said to Elena as Ororo began to buckle herself up. She then looked to the front of her and noticed the sterring wheel. Ororo immediately grabbed onto it with two hands, knowing that she would have to pretend that she is driving the car.
Cran Kuris - February 15, 2006 08:03 PM (GMT)
Cran started driving off, and made it to Sydney in 30 minutes. They were rolling down the streets, looking for a food store. he spoke at a wisper. "Hey Ororo, do we have some money? Unless Miss Elena has mind powers."
Storm - February 16, 2006 03:26 PM (GMT)
Cran was going very fast, to get there in thrity minutes. "Yes, I do have money on me. No need to use her powers. It'd be best to get what we need without trouble." she said, referring to mutant powers. Ororo looked to her left. There seemed to be some sort of grocery store. This would be the stop. "Cran, lets make a stop over there." Ororo said as the pointed to the direction of the grocery store they were coming close to.
Cran Kuris - February 16, 2006 08:24 PM (GMT)
"All right. Here we are." He stopped, and turned off his 'Engine'. "Oh, and Ororo, Don't take too long. I don't want to be towed away."
Robsi - February 16, 2006 09:26 PM (GMT)
Elena has some qualms about climbing inside a person, even when they are in car form. It can't be comfortable for them, and it certainly won't be for her. Touch amplifys her ability to detect a persons emotional state. Add to that the fact that she'll be encompassed by his body, and she'd have scarce few thoughts untainted.
Climbing up, she mutters "I'm sorry about this," in the general direction of...Cran. Wherever that may be. Strapping herself in, it's almost too intense, though the feeling isn't unpleasent. It was obvious to her that Cran took some form of joy when he either shapshifted or shapeshifted into a car. She smiles when Ororo grabs the steering wheel.
The journey passes quickly, with what she interperates as a primal thrill running through Cran. It's almost too soon, the experience having been extremly...unique. Almost like she'd been one with a machine, even though their car was a person. She almost felt like it had been a symbiosis with a real vehicle, and knew she'd never look at a car the same way again.
She is surprised that Ororo is aware of her empathic power. After all, she doesn't recall telling her about it - but then again, she was an X-Man. She probably had access to some type of records concerning students. It doesn't bother her particularly; just feels a little bit stange.
"No worries, Cran." She mutters into his mind. Unfortunately, she wouldn't be albe to pick up any thoughts he sent back, though he likely wouldn't know that.
"Alright then, Ororo; what do we need first?"
Storm - February 19, 2006 12:01 AM (GMT)
Ororo looked to Elena as she asked her question. "Anything you want my dear, but please try to get less junk food as possible. We may not be at the mansion, but the same rules still apply." Ororo told Elena as she stepped out of the car. She would not want to get junk food, as like the mansion, where not a lot of junk food would be there, though Ororo could eat a good hamburger at this time.
Robsi - February 22, 2006 09:45 PM (GMT)
No junk food, in a house of teenagers? The urge to skim Ororo's emotions for a death wish is almost overwhealming, though she restricts herself to a small giggle.
After a small time wandering around the store and piling things into a cart, Elena turns to Ororo. "That looks pretty healthy to me," She says, smiling, and hoping Ororo didn't notice the small amount of chocolate she snuck in - after all, there were some pretty young people. They needed something that tasted good.
She waits for agree- or disagreement from Ororo before doing anything else.
((Sorry about that. I realise its a horrible post, hehe. I feel a little braindead. ))
Storm - February 23, 2006 12:38 AM (GMT)
OOC: lol no problem.
"This looks pretty healthy to me" were Elena's words. Ororo found Elena's little trick to sneak the chocolate in the basket was very funny. Little did Elena know about Ororo...Ororo smiled and looked directly at the chocolate that Elena put into the basket, then looked back to Elena. "I am a former pickpocket my dear, if you're going to sneak something around me, then you'll have to do better than that." Ororo said with a little laugh, showing that she meant no harm from her statement. "Yes, that does look healthy, we can get that, and that candy...you may get that also!" Ororo said, as she reached up on a shelf to grab a pack of pringles and added that to the basket. Seems like Ororo talked a little about herself, since she said that she was a former pickpocket. "So, what are your future goals Elena?" she asked her, to start up a conversation.
Robsi - February 23, 2006 06:44 PM (GMT)
A former pickpocket, huh? Damn. Next time, she'd have to use her powers to sneak anything past Ororo. She considered herself pretty good at things like this - deception was easy when you could manipulate peoples perception of you. She'd picked the wrong woman to challenge - obviously.
"Sorry, Ororo." She replies, with a grin. "I'll have to do better next time." She stifled a smile as Ororo added more junk food to the cart. After all, she hadn't expected it - in fact, she didn't associate Storm with spontaneity. It was obviosuly a well hidden part of her persona.
The sudden out of the blue question that follows is like a bucket of cold water being emptied over her head. The shock must be transparent on her face, for it is so sudden she almost droped the can she was holding. She tried to drawing something from the pool of calm that permeated the older woman, but it is of little use.
"I...Uh, I guess I'm not really sure. At some point, I'd like to have some reconciliation with my foster family, but I don't know if that counts as a 'goal'." At this point, she stops talking. In her opinion, those sentances had sounded completely idiotic. Not only that, but she was also embarassing herself infront of this great woman, who had seen and done things Elena had probably never dreamed of.
"Sorry. That caught me a little off-guard." She wonders if she should reciprocate the question, but decides against it.
Storm - March 9, 2006 02:48 AM (GMT)
OOC: School has been keeping me on hold for a while but I'm back! :) Sorry for the long wait.
Ororo was a little confused in Elena's response. Seemed like she was embarrassed so to speak of what she has planned to do. There would be many students that would be nervous to speak to the Weather Goddess, why was never understood to her.
"Oh no my dear. You have no need to be sorry for anything." Foster parents, Ororo wondered if Elena's birth parents were present in her life, but that doesn't really matter, just as long as she has someone to go to, that's real family.
Ororo added two bags of fruit into the bag. That would be a good treat to eat besides the junk food the two have put in the bag. "I think it's great that you would like to add focus with your foster parents again Elena. You are very lucky to have people like that in your life." Ororo smiled at Elena. "I think all of this should do it. We should proceed to checkout, unless you want to get anything else?" Ororo asked the beauty as she looked upon her.
