Arriving in the Lobby of the Mansion, I waited for the others to catch up as I moved at a high pace to get this 'mission' over and done with.

Laura walked out into the lobby and took a good look around. She began sniffing a small bit as she noticed Scott walking out.

[Cyclops]

Scott walked out after Laura and turned towards Rogue. "With Laura sniffing them out, it shouldn't be too hard tracking them. The question would now be how much of a head start do they have on us."

[Professor Xavier]

'X-23,' Xavier said into her head. 'What are you doing with the team? I told you not to go with them since you're the reason that Bobby and John decided to leave us in the first place. The last thing we need is you causing more problems with them. Please return to The War Room immediately.'

[Avalanche]

Lance was standing off by himself. His confused thoughts had left him entirely unsure who was on his side and who wasn't. Nothing made sense to him anymore except that he needed to find Bobby and John... Especially John. He was what mattered to Lance. Rubbing his forehead, he sighed as he tried to ease his thoughts, but failed entirely. This was too much for him to handle, but he had no choice. If he was going to get John back, something needed to be done.

Laura closed her eyes as she heard Xavier in her mind. "I would remind you that they were leaving anyway, so it is not my fault. I'm not returning, as this is giving me an actual chance at making some friends in the mansion. I won't cause any problems, but if my sniffing and tracking powers can help the team find Bobby and John faster, than that's what I'll do. I'll just stay behind once we find them."

[Professor Xavier]

'It doesn't matter that they were leaving anyway,' Xavier informed through telepathy. 'What matters is that your comments to them is why they decided without a doubt they were leaving no matter what could be said to them. I will not let you put this in jeapordy. Return to The War Room immediately.'

[X-23]

Laura growled in a low tone. "Well maybe I want to make up for my mistakes. I know when I gone and done wrong, but nobody's gonna keep me from doing it. Not you, not even my father, and he should know better. I know that you care about us. But you have to let me do this."

[Professor Xavier]

'I know you're not used to taking orders, but if you want to be part of the X-Men, and part of this family, you need to listen to me, Laura,' Xavier thought to her. 'Perhaps you do feel as if you need to make up for earlier, but now is not the time. Bobby & John are both very angry with you, and if you show up with the others, it could ignite them even further. I will not risk that at this time of great danger and need.'

[X-23]

"I will not back down when a friend wants me to help. And Rogue asked me to help find them. I must complete my objective. If you say so, I will not be seen. But I won't sit idly while they get away. You want me to be part of the team, then let me be part of the team. Don't hold me back."

[Professor Xavier]

'For the last time, Laura, return to The War Room,' Xavier boomed. 'I do not want to have to force you into doing so, because I do not like using my abilities in that manner, but I will if need be. I will not loose Bobby and John to this fight, because you decided to rebel against me.'

[X-23]

"Jee Chuck. Seems like lots of people just rebelling against you today. Jean, John and Bobby, and now me. But I'm not rebelling. I've already told you I will stay out of their sight. You can't make me go back to the war room because even if I didn't continue this mission...there are things I need to do myself. Questions that need answering that I don't think you could help me with. So whether you try to stop me or not. The moment you do, I'm out of here. Take your pick Chuck but I'm not going to let someone like you try to control me, like HYDRA did. You may not be like them but you sure are acting like them now. I will listen to nobody as long as I feel I'm doing what I KNOW is right." Then Laura turned, walked towards the door, and put her hand on it. "So choose. Let me help my friends...or go out alone and do my own thing."

[Professor Xavier]

'You are more rebelious then you may think, Laura,' Xavier stated. 'Do you think your leaving isn't going to affect anyone? Logan will come after you, and if he doesn't, Scott will. I know you have feelings for Scott. Don't you believe that he wouldn't want you to leave? And I know that Logan wants a chance to work things out with you if at all possible. You are needed in the battle for Jean, but so are Bobby and John, and you cannot be anywhere near them. So, if you're going to leave over something like this, then you had best leave. This is a team, and the team follows their leader's instructions to the fullest. If you don't, then I have no use for you. This is a time of great need, X-23. Make your choice, because if you leave now, you will never be welcomed back into this home again.'

[X-23]

As Laura condidered all things possible, she looked towards Scott. He stood there and it was almost as if they locked eyes. But she wouldn't know with his visor on. She knew that Logan wouldnt' even let her date him. But she'd screwed things up and now she didn't even get a chance to to make things right. The Professor was a very strict man apparently. But he had to know how she felt, and must have known what kind of person she was to begin with. But if she left...Logan would follow, and she knew that Logan would do all possible to get her back into the mansion...but that didn't stop what Xavier said about Scott. She had feelings for him, but she didn't even know how to really deal with those feelings. But she needed answers. She needed to know what Deathstrike really meant to her...what kind of woman Deathstrike really was, and her past with Logan. As she looked at the door, her hand slowly let go. "I don't want to disobey, but I don't want to abandon the agreement I made with Rogue either."

[Professor Xavier]

'Then tell her that you must return to The War Room per my request,' Xavier suggested through telepathy. 'Once she knows that I asked of you to return, she will understand your having to leave the situation. The five of them will be able to persuade Bobby and John just fine, so do not worry.'
