Alright now that the rules are laid down here's where you are. Depending on your ship's location you're either orbiting the planet Kalith or docked in the station known as Paradise Station. Let's start with the former first, because doing the former last would just be silly.

The planet Kalith is located in the Outer Rim, and chances are you haven't heard of it. That's good, we like it that way. We had no Jedi Temples, we have only one major Starport, and we don't export anything a good law abiding person cares about. This has kept us out of the Empire's push for unity, meaning we are still 'unclaimed land' and subject to no external laws. The planet itself is...well it's not pleasant if you're not used to it. Most of the land is dominated by lush, thick, jungles and large oceans, which is beautiful to look at but hell to be in. This means most of our land is humid, muggy, and all around makes you feel all heavy and damp. I personally love it but, hey, I was born here, I'm used to it. I say 'most' alot because we do have one other climate in this planet...ice. Yea that's right, wrap your head around that. The planet's North and South Poles are iced over, making a good chunk of the North and South mountainous and cold, this ranges in scale from solid ice all around to rather nice cold snowy lands that a sane person can actually live in. Honestly this makes for amazing local flora and fauna juxtaposition, it's jarring for a person to step out of a hot muggy area full of insectoid and other jungle types right into Taun Taun and Wompa country.

Naturally, the fact that our planet has two extremes as its temperature means we're not that populated, and the major cities we do have are in the lands between the climates where it is actually pleasant. Of course this excludes the crazy small towns deep in jungles or on ice covered mountains, but hey...who talks about those type anyway?

So what did I mean about the exports comment? Well we have one major resource, spice, and lots of it. Lots of types too, some you core worlders never even see. Of course, there's a reason I can speak so freely about this. Let me paint a picture for you wannabee cops and tough guys, you wanna make a name for yourself by busting a spice factory, so you go where the base is. Except the base is deep in the heart of the jungle, or inside a glacier, or under the freakin sea, and then, once you manage to get past the climate, the local animals and plants, the roaming natives, and all other natural hazards, you now need to fight a small army of heavily armed, spiced up, gangers who see blowing your brains out as a near sexual experience. I don't like the stuff myself, I keep my head clear, but I'm smart enough to respect any crazy slag who makes a good living pumping spice out of some of the worst areas in the entire system.

On to more pleasant things, Paradise Station. This is where I live now, it's my station, decent size, I'm no floating fort or trade hub, but we're nice enough I'd say. We run a pretty loose ship around here, since most of our crew is natives of the planet, hell I've known half the military and traders here since I was a baby. We have a simple motto: Credits are Credits. Most any type of person can find shelter here in some place if they have the cred, or the ability to work it off. I run a little cantina near the docking station, we have rooms and such for staying, and of course a fully stocked bar with most foods and drinks from the civilized galaxy, hell we even have some Wookie dishes and such. We got a house band and dancers, but I'm always hiring more, nothing keeps customers like a good show. So if you're new to the station stop on into the Thirsty Wompa, ask for Jill, I'll help ya out.

Alright, if you're reading this part this means my chip has picked up The Force on you, and I don't give a crap which 'side' you're on. Listen, since Imperial Order 66 we've had to go into hiding, but I am a Jedi Knight. I'm no Master, but I've held my own in some rough battles in the war, My bar is a haven for Jedi on the run, but you need to follow basic logic. For one, keep that damn saber hidden, I've seen so many idiots get blasted to dust just because they still wore their saber on their belt. For another, keep use of The Force subtle, yea I use it to mess with people and such, but always in ways that can be explained easily other then "I'm a Jedi please don't tell". I got some Holocrons and old gear if you want them, I don't part with my relics easy though, so you better have a damn good reason for asking. Also, and this is important, if you bring the Empire knocking on my door I will let them drag you off, we Jedi are nearly extinct in the universe, and I fully believe we don't need idiots who don't know what 'subtle' means in our orders.

((OOC important note about time: This game takes place in the 'Rise of the Empire' era, meaning that it's between the two trilogies. Vader and the Emperor are making their push through the worlds, planets are falling to slavery and domination of the Empire, but it's not as bad as it is in the original movies. The Jedi are still reeling from Order 66, but they are still around and allowed, but it IS still legal and encouraged to shoot them on sight if they're not 'loyal to the Empire'.

Also, a note about the Empire as a whole, for the most part, it's Nazi Germany, your 'average person' doesn't know much about the atrocities being done by it, the media is heavily censored so they don't see the slaves and genocides, they know compared to life under the Senate they lost alot of freedom, but they also know they're 'safe' and 'secure' thanks to the Empire's rule, and that the Jedi were bad and planning to make everyone slaves to the Order. Take that as you will of course.))

((OOC addition: For timeline purposes, this setting is 4 years after Order 66, and 17-18 years before The Battle of Yavin))
