The Gotham Gazette
The relatively unknown newspaper of Gotham is by no means as big as those in other cities, but it relates important stories to the public none-the-less. Usually the happenings of high-powered criminals can be found within the pages of print, as well as the occasional sighting of Batman or his sidekicks. As with the other papers, the reporters for this newspaper write up each story as they see fit.

The quiet city of Westchester is located not very far away from New York City. Small and unassuming, it consists of a town that is almost too small to be considered a full-blown city. But secretly running the streets is the mob boss known only as the King Pin.

Centennial Park
This park, which has also been called Metropolis Park at times, is the highlight of this advanced city’s floral growth. Much like Manhattan’s Central Park, it is one of the most sought after places with tourists, stretching over an impressive area. Carefully tended landscapes still manage to look a bit wild, despite the horde of gardeners that work on it. The most prominent feature of this park are the two, massive bronze statues erected at the center of it – one of Superman, one of Conner Kent, Superboy.

Suicide Slum
Located in northwestern New Troy is the impoverished, crime-filled neighborhood, called Suicide Slum by most of the city. Run down buildings that have obviously been neglected, dark, narrow, dirty streets, and often maligned vehicles fill it. It is usually avoided by tourists and those who live in Metropolis; no one but the criminals are welcome there.

Metropolis Police Department
The MPD is most known for its special squad unit that is specially trained to handle super-human villains, in case of Superman’s absence. The building is rather unremarkable, looking more like a courthouse then a police department. Holding cells are many in the back of the large building, some specially made to hold super-humans.

Gotham City Police Department
The GCPD is housed in a rather medieval looking building, complete with leering gargoyles on the rooftops. Large and with quite a few holding cells, the inside doesn’t seem much more pleasant than the outside. Tending to be rather dark, except for fluorescent lighting, there are busy rooms, for processing, talking to witnesses, anything. The cells tend to hold petty criminals, however – most of the city’s major criminals are sent to Arkham Asylum.

Arkham Asylum
The infamous asylum is one of the most well known buildings in Gotham. Large, with the grounds entirely fenced in, it brings to mind old castles. However, despite the dark stone it was made out of, it is well-built and, while not new, perfectly sturdy. The cells are equipped to hold the criminally insane, as well as certain criminals with powers. The long drive way leading to the building is capped by a metal sign atop the opening in the fence that declaims ‘Arkham Asylum’ is creepy lettering.

Amusement Mile
Amusement Mile, the theme park of Gotham, is bright and cheery while open, with blinking, dancing lights on the tall and short Ferris wheels, lining the roller-coasters, and decorating the stands and games. But at night, when abandoned by the public, it gets dark and rather creepy, and sometimes kids can be found getting dared to break it, because of the frightening appearance of the place.

Once known as Park Row, this place is located in the East End, and is a narrow street lined with decrepit old buildings, usually uninhabited except for criminals. This is the main park of the city, and what a twisted plot of land it is. Hilly and dark, it is nothing like the happy, bright parks of most cities. Also in the park is a zoo, although it is rather decrepit and rarely visited.

This nightclub is incredibly shady, and is one of the most famous places...For villains. Almost every known criminal, no matter how big or small, has hidden here at least once. The Gotham Gazette
The building housing the newspaper of Gotham City, the Gotham Gazette, is rather unassuming, and far different from most newspaper headquarters. The Gothic design of the city did not miss this row, giving the building a rather dark and intimidating look to those walking by. It is short, only about four stories high, and spread out far more than the skyscrapers of the Daily Planet and Daily Bugle. A large sign above the front doors proclaim this building as the headquarters for Gotham’s rather small and unknown newspaper.

San Francisco
Also known as the City by the Bay, San Francisco is famed for the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, an incredibly diverse and beautiful Chinatown, and the lovely architecture. Or at least it used to be. Since the Titans West took over the West Coast and made San Francisco their base of operations, all hope and beauty has been stripped from the City.

Titans Island
Titans Island in San Francisco, home of another Tower, is the headquarters for Titan’s West. It is the same as it was when it was first erected, except for major security additions and an atmosphere of supremacy surrounding it. Located on a small island in the Bay, it is an ominous figure that breaks the bleak skyline. The landscape on the island used to be rather lovely, with trees and flowers, streams flowing through it. But not any more; finding no need to keep up an inviting exterior, the unsightly landscaping forebodes nothing but desolate harshness. The outside of the tower no longer has the statue commemorating the original Titans: Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Wonder Girl, and Speedy – but has one of the current Titans.

San Diego
Located on the coast of Southern California, this city is the second largest city in California. Just north of the Mexican border, it is known for the incredible San Diego Zoo, which at earlier points in time attracted tourists to the area. This City is just as gloomy as San Francisco, only on a smaller scale. It is under the ‘protection’ of Titans West, and that means oppression and regression.

Los Angeles
When it comes to the City of Angels most people immediately think of Hollywood, Disneyland, showbiz, and big celebrity names; and they’re correct in their assumption. Los Angeles has everything from the red carpet to a public Ivy League school but that is not all it has. Nope, LA has something that’s known as the ‘greenhouse’ effect. The air here is full of pollutants, and there’s no wonder where that came from; overcrowding and cars. Filled with both natives and tourists, it is not always the fun and exciting place people think it is. In fact, in the past ten years the grandeur has dropped so much that being in Los Angeles is rather unexciting and rather dangerous to one’s health because of the pollution.

The headquarters of the evil sect of mutants known as the Brotherhood are a large, rather run-down mansion on an island off the east coast of America. Known as Gotham’s sister city, it sits across the bay from its dark counterpart. A poor city, it was sometimes considered to have more crime than Gotham – although quite a few people argue over that fact. The villain known as Chemo was dropped on it during the Crisis, completely destroying it with power akin to a nuclear blast. Although he was beaten, the city suffered; a large wall once blocked it off from the rest of the world. Later, a nuclear blast destroyed what remained of the city, leaving a gaping crater behind the wall. Since the Crisis, a lot of work has been done to rectify the once recovering city, including radiation clean up spearheaded by the hero The Ray. Slowly, but surely, the city is coming back together under the careful watch of Nightwing, and Titans East.

This famous port city is located on the coast of the San Francisco Bay, and was the former home of the hero Green Arrow I, but is now protected by Green Arrow II. The most commonly recognized landmark the city has is its beautiful Star Bridge; a suspension bridge famous for the large stars mounted atop each tower. The high class neighborhoods include Lamb Valley and Orchid Bay, and they have for some reason withstood the downsizing of most communities like themselves. The lower class neighborhoods, such as the South End and the ‘Triangle’, are more crime filled and are still in need of desperate repair.

This small villa in Kansas is famous for producing the hero Superman. Consisting of mostly friendly people, most income comes from small businesses and the many farms dotting the land. In fact, Lex Luthor resides in Smallville on the Kent family farm. Of course Titans West has to protect their country’s leader.

Keystone City
The sister city to Central City, this place used to be a mostly peaceful conurbation full of middle class citizens who just wanted an enjoyable life. Now it is no longer a place of inhabitance, but has turned into one gargantuan Flash museum. With a lot of history to cover, it was not really unexpected that the museum had to grow, but to encompass an entire city… some do not see this as a good thing necessarily. A whole city sized museum dedicated to a single legend and the men who carried the mantle goes a little bit beyond eccentric.

Even if this is an OoC board, do keep things at an orderly level, or the staff will hunt you down and make your life miserable. :D
