yesterday i have my first young of 2007 5 young hatched
but today the weather turned bad we have snow and is very cold so i hope the young will be good.

I expect that your young are ok.
The weather is very crazy in the last few years.
I have 5 young to hatch this weekend and i expect that the weather will become stable.
My big problem is because the eggs have days difference and if the 5 eggs are full probably i will loose the last one, because i dont have another female to transfer the young.

O tempo anda maluco nestes ultimos anos.
Tenho 5 crias para nascer neste fim de semana e espero que o tempo se torne estavel.
Meu problema maior é que os ovos têm diferença de dias e se estiverem todos cheios, provavelmente irei perder o ultimo, pois não tenho outra fêmea para transferir o ultimo.

the first young to hatch died,,we had some really bad weather,a lot of snow and very cold.the hens dont come of the nest to feed,so i put one extra heater in the birdroom,now all is ok.
i have more young now 18,,and more to hatch this week.

Problably my first eggs are clear, because until now they dont hatch. Let me see if some will hatch today or during this week.
Now i only have 2 females without breeding signs, the rest already have eggs in the nest.

Sinto muito pelas primeiras crias. Eu não gosto de ver as crias morrerem.
Provavelmente meus primeiros ovos estão brancos, porque ate agora ainda não eclodiram. Vamos ver se algum eclode hoje ou durante a semana.
Agora so tenho 2 fêmeas sem sinal the criar, o restante já tem ovos no ninho.

Depois de no ano passado ter tido uma época desastrosa este ano já conto com 70 glosters anilhados e a separação dos primeiro a ser efectuada no próximo fim-de-semana.
Por aqui (Lisboa) o tempo tem-se mantido estável e a alimentação e horas de luz foram programadas para a criação ter início nos primeiros dias de Fevereiro.

HOJE, OBSERVEI QUE AS 7.30 DA MANHÃ ESTAVAM 3 GRAUS, NO EXTERIOR...NO CANARIL ESTAVAM 8 GRAUS, E DURANTE O DIA A TEMPERATURA SOBE AOS 22 GRAUS...OS PASSARINHOS ESTAVAM TRISTES, ACREDITO QUE COM O DECORRER DO DIA, VÃO SE TORNANDO MAIS ACTIVOS E FELIZES ;)

TODAY, I SEE THAT AT 7.30 WAS 3 DEGREES, OUTSIDE... IN THE BIRDROOM 8 DEGREES... THE BIRDS WAS SAD, AND I BELIEVE THEY WILL BECOME HAPPY DURING THE DAY ;)

Bem neste momento estão a começar as criações.
Já tenho alguns nascidos e anilhados para aí uns dez.
Para a semana talvez tenha mais alguns.
Também já tive as minhas baixas.
Um casal de glosters e um de fifes.
Morreram todos os filhos.

Espero que não seja nada que se alastre aos restantes casais.

Para o próximo fim de semana devo ter mais noticias.

I had my firsts clear eggs. :(
No young hatched and 8 clear eggs. The males was not ready for the females, so now i have to wait, and expect to have full eggs the next time.

Nenhuma cria nascida e 8 ovos brancos. Os machos não estavam preparados para as fêmeas, então agora tenho de esperar mais e torcer para ter ovos cheios na proxima vez.
