QUOTE (Vinsalt @ 21 Jun 2007, 20:58)
But you know... nowadays in Aventuria (34 Haal is it?)

Actually they decided to set the current timeline (that means: WoA's) in 29 Haal, after the defeat of Borbarad in the Third Demon Battle but before the current German timeline. I don't know why - it doesn't matter if they're not publishing adventures and supplements BTW dry.gif

Well okay... But if you add the years since the publishing of the book, I think it's 34. But I guess it's fine if it's 29. It'd be nice if they posted the official date in Aventuria once in a while, on the web page. The same thing that WotC does for forgotten realms (at least they do something right tongue.gif), with weekly news from Garetia, Horasia, Tulamidya and Thorwal, for instance. (I always prefer the Northlands, dunno why)

This all is waaay off-topic of course...

The main problem with posting an exact date is that it takes years for them to publish anything... Originally TDE was set in 20 Haal, WoA was meant to have the same setting (indeed it would make sense) but then the project got stuck, somebody changed his mind and decided that instead it would be nice to move things closer to the actual German setting (for which an official date exists). But not exactly the same. That's why it's 29 Haal. That's the "official" date for TDE, being that of the latest supplement. Whatever (if ever) comes next will be set in 29 Haal I think - of course I'm talking about adventures, I don't think rules supplements (like Swords and Heroes, which should be next of the line) actually need a definite time setting.
