As a few of you know i went to look at a new car mrgreen.gif
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1249559.htm
imperial blue escort rs cosworth, M plate 60,000 miles 2 owner car

i went to RSOC LGM near donnington on saturday with paul then travelled up to Durham, took 7 hours to get there in total.

stayed in premier inn saturday night and then popped along to see it .

It was pissing down with rain, the owner rung me around 10am and i said leave in garage so i could see paint work dry.I turned up and he opened the garage ,it was in was leaking and car was wet all over. sad.gif
The owner pushed it out slightly so could open bonnet .I checked all chassis numbers and vin plates and all checked out mrgreen.gif oil and water all seemed ok.it was still raining and i asked to take it for a spin but he said he worried as he just SORN it

i had alook under neath and was a little rusty on floor and rear beam mounting points on the body sad.gif
the rear arches had slighty started to go aswell sad.gif

i asked again to take for a spin and he said BATTERY flat aswell eek.gif
but i could take it for a drive next time i go up rage.gif
He also said when would i want to pick it up rage.gif

F##ked off was not the word wall.gif

think i will give it a miss rage.gif
he knew i was going and how far i was travelling up. we had talked loads of times on the phone during the week and even talked about taking it for a road test rage.gif

i only went to see it because of low owners and lowish miles ,the cars condition should have been alot better for that sort of mileage mad.gif

i will learn from this tho roll.gif

heard you were going too look at another car, but didn't know it would be an escos content.gif

you still keeping the saph i take it?

what happened to the old skool ford hanckering you were having?

real shitter about a wasted trip, i felt the same when we were going too look at puma's for the ex

they were advertised as being in good condition but on closer inspection and wasted fuel(cossie fuel cry.gif pmsl.gif ) they were far from in good condition for the mileage and owners

hope you find a minter tho buddy, one will come up, just got too sift through the shite first
