The scene opens up in a locker room at WCW HQ where we see Awesome Shawn Air, formerly 'Wild' Jerry Pepsi and Morris Stankiwicz, standing with the WCW United States Championship belt in his hands as if he cannot believe it is there.

Shawn: "In all my wildest imaginings did I see this happening. I mean, just a few weeks ago I decided to make another go at Western Championship Wrestling with a new outfit and new attitude, no gimmick other than a mask. Somehow, I find myself in a United States Championship match against Devin Dawson...and I win! I mean, how do I go from a wrestling failure to a major champion in less than a month? I don't know, and I admit that I am a bit overwhelmed by it all. And I don't even know who my challengers are!"

"I don't really know if I'm ready for this, but I'll give it my best! Whether I wrestle some of WCW's newer talent like Luthor and Dawson or some of the Elite like Jeff Payne or Ryson, I'll try, I'll fly, I'll dive out of the sky, and if I'm good enough, I'll be the US champion for a long, long time.

"Now, my first challenger is a young, beautiful lady named Angel Love. At 205 lbs, I don't just overpower Ms. Love with my mass and strength, so I'm not going to underestimate her. Angel, I don't know what to expect from you so I'm going to expect anything and everything. And yes, I know that our match is not a title match, but if you win you will be my #1 contender, so it might as well be. I'll use all of my gymnastic skill and wrestling training to see if I can take down an Angel, and if I can't, maybe I do not deserve this belt. I have to prove to everyone, myself included, that I am worthy of this United States Championship. However it ends, there will be a dynamic aerial show for everyone who watches! I'm Awesome Shawn Air, the US Champion, and if I'm good enough, I will be for a long, long time!"
