GROUNDS: Every year Hogwarts kicks of the start of the term with it's FEAST. This year Headmaster Longbottom has decided to ease into the school year with a Carnival that opens right after the Feast. Ride the rides, play the games. Enjoy the fun, one never knows when it will end.
LOCATION: Explore the grounds of Hogwarts in all their finery. Whether the season be winter, spring, summer or fall, their beauty never ceases to astound, with towering trees along the paths and alongside buildings.
LOCATION: The occupants of these dark, damp, cavernous rooms are likely to be down here making mischief, for why else would they have come? This is the level of the potions classroom and the Slytherin common room; what's alluring about that?
LOCATION: Much better -- moving up and away from those horrid creatures of the shadow (your potions master included). In the basement, not to be confused with the dungeons, one can locate the kitchens and the Hufflepuff common room.
LOCATION: Walk through the double doors to start out with a lovely entrance room, hear your footsteps on a flagstone floor as you venture into Hogwarts. Proceed either to the Great Hall for a meal and sorting, unless you'd prefer to count the gemstones in your house's hourglass.
LOCATION: Essentially, this is the classroom floor. Why go there? So that you can be taught to turn your rat into a water glass, of course, in Transfiguration. Learn the history of magic. Or learn to defend yourself, and, certainly, to heal in the Hospital wing if you can't.
LOCATION: A silent floor relative to some of the others, the second level of the school is mostly a quiet place. One can locate a knight in an empty corridor, a gargoyle (what would such a garish thing be doing here ... ?) and a strange, leaky bathroom.
LOCATION: A crowded floor, relative to some of the others. Filled with decorative medieval pieces and shiny gold trophies, this is the place to be. Here, one can also find the newer hospital wing.
LOCATION: On this level, one is graced with the presence of many bathrooms and strange paintings. While walking down the halls to the prefects' washrooms, you may pass a landscape many other portraits seek for refuge.
LOCATION: After a couple empty floors, the architects of Hogwarts redeem themselves by cramming all we've missed into the top level. Here we have the classroom of the eccentric, as well as a common room.
LOCATION: Hogwarts has many towers coming from its roof. The Gryffindor common room branches here from its entrance on the seventh floor, and the same for Divination. The Ravenclaw tower can be found here.
LOCATION: Tapping just the right brick in the wall behind the Leaky Cauldron in London ("Three up...two across...") will reveal an archway which is a portal into Diagon Alley, a long cobbled street where is to be found a strange and exciting assortment of shops and restaurants. It is unquestionably the hub of commerce in the British wizarding world, with virtually every wizarding business stationed there.
LOCATION:Hogsmeade is the only entirely wizarding village in Britain. According to tradition it was founded over a thousand years ago, around the same time as Hogwarts, by Hengist of Woodcroft as he was fleeing persecution by Muggles. It's a picturesque little village of thatched cottages and shops, with enchanted candles hanging in the trees during the holidays.
LOCATION: London in all of its wondrous glory and beauty. This bustling city is much more then meets the eye, as are many of the folks that roam the sidewalks. This major hubbub is not only the center of England, it is also the home of many Wizarding foundations hidden from the Muggles
LOCATION: What with magical portkeys in the shape of soup cans or old boots and the wonderful big birds muggles call Airplanes; World tralver has never been easier or faster. Pack your bags, put in your request for time away and zoom off for a vacation in the sun or skiing in the Alps. Either way the world is yours all you have to do is make the time to enjoy it.
OUT OF CHARACTER: Sitting around bored, waiting on a post, just looking for some quick fun? That's why this area is here. Inside are OOC & IC Games as well as random chattage to curb your boredom in life.
