GENERAL PERSONALITY: The first thing people think when they think about Eli is how arrogant he is. In his mind Eli is the only one who matters. His opinion is always right, he has all the best things, anything you can do Eli can do better. If arguing with Eli it's better to stop while your ahead because Eli will never back down. Don't get me wrong, Eli knows he's not perfect and he always apologizes after offending someone. Eli was born poor and now he's living with people of the upper crust and so he feels he needs to play a certain part. A few years ago Eli was a sweet, humble boy living in poverty. He's very confused as to who he's supposed to be because he doesn't like the person he's becoming.


Once you've gotten past all of Eli's rough edges and he considers you a friend Eli begins to open up and reveal his true nature. His kinder, more refined nature. Only once you've proven yourself a friend will Eli start to feel comfortable enough to truly be himself. When he's being 'fake Eli' he is so rude it's almost unbearable to be around him. He makes mean remarks, puts people down, and lashes out when he doesn't get his way. That's one thing that stays the same with Eli, he hates not getting his way and will often lash out in anger, throwing violent, destructive temper tantrums. However, Eli can be reasoned with and if you challenge him Eli will back down, whereas 'fake Eli' never backs down from a fight.


Eli is very focused when it comes to his art. Once he's started a project Eli won't rest until it's finished. He truly lives his art, pouring his whole heart into it. 'Fake Eli' never talks about his art to new people for some unknown reason. Even if your a friend of Eli's he will only talk about it if you are one of his very best friends. He's modest about his work and doesn't like to brag about it.

GENERAL HISTORY:

Eli was born in London, the middle child of three. He was raised in a devout Christian household and his parents were very strict with the children. At an early age Eli showed signs of being a gifted painter but his parents didn't want him to pursue art. When Eli was 12 his sister Camille died in a car accident and his parents locked both children in their rooms to study the bible for days on end. Eli wasn't interested in learning religion and he made that known to his parents who had then taken to beating him for his 'sinful behavior.'

When Eli was sixteen he tried to kill himself. He truly thought that he would be better off dead than to continue living the way he was living. He slashed both wrists and locked himself in the bathroom. His brother found him only moments after and he was taken to the hospital. Eli's parents refused to see him, even as he lay nearly dead. While Eli was in the hospital Jason sent Eli's paintings to different galleries and other places. Eli was grateful to his brother for doing this but he resented him for saving his life.

The next year Eli's parents died in a car accident while Eli was living with his brother Jason. At that time he also met Danielle while working at a cafe in London. The two connected instantly even though she was four years older than him. They dated for three years until Eli was sent off to Stanmer.

Eli hummed lightly to himself as he started to put the finishing touches on his painting. He was going to go out tonight so he needed to get this last painting done. He was alone and he wore an old black sweatshirt and a pair of cutoff jeans. Of course, he had closed the blinds and locked the doors so no one could see him in the state he was. On his bed he had laid out his finest coat, with nice pants and a simple shirt. Sensible but fashionable at the same time. He smiled. His painting was done. In front of him was a painting of a bleak, war torn landscape, smoke billowing from burning foliage and reaching a dark grey sky. He stepped back to admire it. When he had finished admiring it he ran to take a shower and wash off all the paint from his body.
