Sam knelt beside her. "Well, no further injury, it just needs time now. Dont put any stress on it, though." He gave her a look like he knew she was gonna try anyway. Sam fell backwards and spread his limbs like a giant virtuvian man. He stared up at the sky and the stars. He sighed heavy. "Oh momma, what a sky, what a sky." He tensed his muscles, causing most of his joints to pop loudly. He laughed. "That was a fun game back there." He smiled and spoke playfully "When you cultivate yourself a little more gimme a call, I just might go all out on you..."

She burst out laughing again. And spoke playfully, You sound like a dork when you know what your talking about. She smiled. But your right. I'll give it a rest. I'll look for some sticks for crutches if I still cant walk in the morning. She heard him stretching and his joints pop loudly. She suddenly had a great temptation to pop her own joints but decided not to so she just stretched her neck a bit and sat with her knees brought up to her chin.

"When you cultivate yourself a little more gimme a call, I just might go all out on you..."

She glanced up at him and raised an eyebrow. Cultivate myself? Hun this is as civilized as I'll ever be. She smiled. And go all out on me? What is that supposed to mean? She bit her lip and was just about to add something else but decided not to so she lowered her glaze and spoke quickly to keep away from second thoughts. And I still say you should try eating an ant. They're really not as bad as you think.

Sam stared at the sky as he remained half way into the conversation. "Dont worry, if it becomes a problem il carry you back to the infirmary and well sew some storry together, its a sprained ankle it shouldnt be too hard to-"

Sam looked puzzled." I didnt mean like that, i mean in combat, when you hone your skills more, I think it would be most entertaining. You might-" Sam stopped short at her mention of eating bugs. he shivered, " Ugh, thats gross! Disgusting! Why would you even want to DO that? Its straight nasty! Who even invented that idea? Bugs are the most disgusting, freakish,creepy denizens of filth ive ever seen!" He calmed down, breathed easy and lost himself in the stars again, still the thought loomed. "I hate bugs..."

Oh. Well you weren’t specific enough. She growled lightly. Though personally she found it funny how she always got along better with guys before Valencia. She almost despised being around girls who would always let their girly genes get the best of them. Guys were far more fun to hag with. And they knew how to get "free stuff." She smiled at the memory. And your not all that hot in combat either. This isn’t bad for my first time. She smiled mockingly.

She tried her hardest to keep in her laughter as he spoke on about how much he obviously hated bugs. You know...we are in a forest...and it is night...that's when the biggest and most carnivorous creepy crawlers come out to prey. You better watch out. She smiled, obviously loving every second of this.

Sam looked up at her. "Truly you are the most cruel of people here." He lunked his head back down. "If any show up ill just turn them into a crater, besides its only the really wriggly ones that i hate, you ever seen a silverfish? Ugh." He shivered. He then realized this conversation was probably destroying any sort of masculinity he had in her profile of him. He changed topics abruptly. "So, um, you get any family?"

Kaitlyn smiled brightly. How lovely. No one would have ever guessed a guy like him would be scared of bugs. Guess everyone has their own fears no matter how strange they might be. In middle school she had a friend who was drop-dead terrified of string. She sighed. Middle school this. Middle school that. Those were the best years.

Family...? She looked up at him for a swift second as the word sounded foreign to her than she lowed her head back down. I used to. She was surprised that she was actually willing to tell him. Now its just me. She smiled nervously. She was trying to forget about her family ever since Valencia. They were her weakness. She looked up at him. How about you?

Sam sighed. "Hm. I never knew my parents, apparently i was left at the base of a mountain and by some luck was picked up by these monks who lived in total isolation, raised me in martial arts, sharpening the senses, that sorta thing, left em so I could train in the south. Thats when Valencia found me and..." He stopped, he obviously didnt want to talk about it. "Well if i ever get out of here, i was gonna go see if theyre still alive." He looked around. "You know what, this is an awkward topic." He looked up at her. "What do you wanna talk about."

Kaitlyn smiled slightly. Monks? His story sounded a bit out there. But heck it was probably true. Ever since Valencia, she’d believe anything. If a 5 year old ran in here screaming his head off that it was raining socks, than it must certainly be raining socks. You’re the one who brought it up. She smirked. I dunno. A quick spark flared up in her eyes. Oh I know! Lets talk about that huge cockroach sniffin’ around next to your foot.

Sam sneered at her most unpleasantly, not even bothering to check his foot. "Ok, now its getting old. You can stop trying to prey on my fear of bugs." He stood up and stretched a bit. "Actually come to think of it, i should be getting back to the academy." He looked down at her. "Your coming with." He strided over to her and scooped her up in his arms. "Dont try and argue,your in no condition to be left her,you cant beat me in a fight and you cant run." He walked over to a small clearing, went into the center and bent his knees. "Take a deep breath."

Kaitlyn closed her eyes and sighed. Yea I know. But it was worth a try. Nothing better to do anyway. Might as well attempt to torture you. Sam got up and picked her up. Going back?! If you hadn't come in the first place, non of this would have happened. I'd be safe, uninjured, and sleeping up on that tree right now. She growled. And I so can beat you in a fight. She murmered. But he did have a point. How was she to get back in the morning? I mean she could do it but it would be such a hassle. And she was still hungry as it was. She sighed. Fine. I'm hungry anyway. Lets go. She made a really unenthusiastic thumbs up.

Sam leapt upward, reaching the midline of the trees, he jumped again as soon as he hit the ground going higher, he kept doing this until he could clear the trees, no problem. Then he started in a direction. In a couple minutes, he and Kat were clearing the forest easy, covering good distance with each jump, soon he had to armor his legs so he didnt break them when he landed. He still winced occasionally from the shock. He nudged Kat on one of his leaps. "Look! you can see the campus limits from up here!...Hang on a sec." He was quickly descending and jumped heigher this time to gain a better veiw. He stared out at the limits and what was beyond them, he could almost make out a mountain range. "Wow, would you look at that... heh, like birds in a cage we are aye?" He could see the school. "Ok were here, brace yourself, dont scream." He released her from his grop and let her fall, but he was going to hit first. Sam landed, making a small crater, he regained himself, and adjusted his position and caught Kat as she landed right into his arms. He set her down. "We'd better go, someone will have heard that."

Sam jumped up. Wooaa. That was fast. She could see everything up here. Guess the world was really bigger than Valencia made everyone think. She held her breath as he let her go. This greatly reminded her of that time she went on vacation with her family and she jumped from a medium sized cliff next to a waterfall. Everyone was doing it so she did it too.

Only after they had "landed" did Kaitylen realize that she had been smiling the whole time. Wooo! DUDE! That was awesome! Your like...a kangaroo! Only you jump better!

"We'd better go, someone will have heard that."

Ah who cares. It could have been a tree falling for all they know. She got up supporting herself by another tree. They don't lock the doors here right? She's never stayed out past curfew so she didn't know. She tried to visualize the main entrance to Valencia.

Sam showed a toothy smile, "your the first person to not-scream when i jump like that." He cracked his neck, "Glad you enjoyed the show, if you need a lift let me know." He laughed heartily. "Nah, they never lock the doors in this place, they think were obedient.I think i should be going, a crater in the middle of the campus doesnt exactly go unnoticed. Until next time Kat." He armored his hands and climbed up the wall with ease, he swung into his bedroom window, plopped onto his bed and was out of conciousness in a matter of seconds.

Kaitlyn watched him climb up and smiled. Yup. Well this was fun. She marched into the school and suck into her dorm. Just as she was in the room, she ran to the mini-fridge in the corner and scarfed down a tuna salad sandwich. Much better than ants. She smiled.
