[Atonia 'Ash' Seisris]

Ash stared directly into Nens face, deliberatly darkening her eyes as they bored into Nens, her eyebrow raising in an expression that very plainly said she was barely believing the story. "Nen..." She said flatly, pulling Nen closer to her face. "If I find out you try to do anything stupid... Do you know what Im going to do to you?" She released her friend and stepped back, pulling her hoodie and her shirt up to reveal the laceration scars that striped her back.

"Remember this? You'll wish I had done this..." She said seriously, turning to face Nen. "I dont want you hurting yourself." Her tone was very reasonable, very level, and very tender. "You're like my sister... I've already lost my family, and it seems like I've lost Eron for a time, and we've lost Mora... I couldn't stand to lose you..."

She leaned over and kissed Nen on the cheek once more, smiling gently into the smaller girls eyes.

"I know, darling," Nen told, serious this time. And she did know. About everything. She had learned her lessons about Ash's friendship before, and the lessons stuck. It had been mostly due to when Nen had stupidly decided to starve herself. And Nen had lost family, too. Her parents, and her eight other siblings. Although, she wasn't sure if they were alive or not, sicne there was a slight chance they were still living.

"I'm not about to do anything really stupid, you can trust me on that," Nen said to her foster-sister, careful about the wording so she wouldn't have to lie a second time. She hung up her towel and tugged her hair out of her bun before adorning herself with her usual amount of braclets and other jewlery barred by the school dress code. "I won't do anything," Nen clarified again, adding in her head, In front of you.

"Alright" She smiled, flicking Nens hair up over her head in a playful gesture before going out into the main room and laying her weary body down on her bed. "So when do you plan to talk to Sage?" She called out, as she stared at the mural that adorned their walls, watching the music notes dance in her drowsy eyes.

"I'm hoping to be able to get further away from the hospital wing than just here in a couple days, maybe down to the dinner hall for a proper meal... the food in that wing sucks... I think we get the scraps from the kitchens that are all thrown into a watery 'soup' and left to smoulder! Yes.. smoulder... it tastes burnt..." She chuckled to herself, leaning up her head and tugging her hood over her mass of red hair.

"Oh my head..." She murmured, sheilding her eyes beneath her hand from the light coming through the window.

Nen walked out of the bathroom after a second, shrugging. "I dunno, I'll get around to it. Classes have been hectic lately, you know?" Or, I'll talk to her as soon as I see her, Nen added again in her mind. She needed to stop doing this.

She walked over to the desk and sat on top of it, her legs crossed. "You know, I'd think that those healers would want to give you rich foods, you know, to help speed your recovery. Or maybe they just think that their power is enough to keep you healthy." Nen shook her head at the folly of healers.

"Babe, go to sleep. You should rest and get better so that we can have some wild and crazy parties," Nen told Ash. Now who was acting as the older sister?

"Yea... that... that sounds like a good idea...My body feels like jello." She grinned weakly, not even moving to place herself under the covers before she shut her eyes. "Ill just sleep for a little while, that way if one of the healers tracks me down here, they might just see that I'm taking care of myself."

She giggled a bit. "Wild and crazy parties, yea, right" She smiled and rolled onto her side, curling herself up into a ball. "Wild and crazy I can see, but party? I don't know where thats coming from love..." Slowly her eyelids began to darken, taking on a thick black coating of what seemed to be an extra layer of skin to block out the light. With her eyes shut, it gave the disturbing image of having two black sink holes for eyes, but she tugged her hood down over her face more and curled up a bit more tightly.

"Talk to her soon will you? I know things are hectic but..."

"I'll do my best, love," Nen promised. She waited until her friend was asleep until she pulled out her diary from the loose brick near her bed. She turned it over in her hands--she hadn't written in it for months. Nen had been too afraid of what she might discover. But right now, maybe she needed to just see her thoughts on paper, and see some solution to what she wanted to do.

So Nen sat back at the desk and opened her diary. She began to write.

Nen finished her entry and re-hid her diary. With a glance at Ash, Nen started to work on her homework.
