This sunday - sunday the 14th - you have the 'topper' Club Brugge - Standard de Liège. It's not a derby, but it's a big game in Belgium.

The Nicosia Derby (and also Cyprus Derby) - Omonia v APOEL (17 January 2009)

- When you see the honours list it shows that these are by far the two most successful clubs in Cyprus. There are some political differences between the clubs: APOEL respresents the political right while Omonia is more left wing orientated.

- Main supporter group of APOEL is PAN.SY.FI. PAN.SY.FI was founded in 1979 and has branches in all major cities in Cyprus and also in other countries. The PAN.SY.FI (and most ultras) wear orange jackets (or T-shirts).

- Omonia's fans are considered to be left-wing in their majority. Today they are estimated to be around 42% of the Cypriot people. There are two major fan clubs supporting the team, PA.SY.FI. and Gate 9, which is the most active and biggest fan club.

- The match will be played in GSP Stadium, with a capacity of 22,859.
