Title: Question for Bulgarian fans

nemapredaje - June 22, 2008 02:42 PM (GMT)
Just a question to Bulgarian fans. How do Bulgarian fans view Croatian fans? How do they view the Croatians in general? The scene there? And also what do they think about Serbian fans and the rivalry between Serbia and Croatia?
Both political and ultra comments welcome.

Good questions...for me croatian fans are the best ultras after italian i will remember them with big piro action ever :fire bad blue boys, torcida split and cohorta rieka(i'm not sure) are top groups in Croatia.I don't know many for your scene and for your rivalry with Serbia,i think that the hatred i like our with macedonia but nothing else :si

Well i think that we aren't in bad relations with serbs/croats, but we also aren't in good!
Before 4 years in Zagreb, on Croatia Bulgaria - qualifications for WC 2006 it had a big fight in the centre of the city between bbb and ultras from bulgaria. It had arrested and injured people( i wasn't there anyway ), from this which i saw from photos/clips and what i've heard - one man from bbb almost died, but was saved from the bulgarian ultras because his croatian "friends" forgot about him when the cops came.

Anyway i like serb and croatian clips/pictures :) It's always fun to watch zvezda - partizan and dinamo - hajduk

cheers :cheers

There are some people who hate Croatia and like Serbia(how are most of cska fans who have friendship with grobari),but there are other people who like Croatia and hate Serbia. In my opinion most of the fans here like the style how ultras in both countries do but dont care so much about them.As for the normal people in my opinion many people like Serbia, but many others hate them...
My personal view about the balkans !

It's very strange if you are Bulgarian and somehow like Serbia... Though Croats do great stuff (pyro, singing, etc...) it's hard to express some particular feelings. I personally hate Serbs, indifferent to Croats. But still have one in mind...

I was there. There was and other Cro groups, not just BBB. U (bulgarian) came and start to provoke (serbia, 3 fingers etc), and we attack u. It was on main square, so police quickly react and stop it. Nothing special, but i remeber few broken Bulgarian hads  But didnt noticed that someone almost die.. bs.
And if i remember correctly, on stadium ur section was divided with police cordon, one side Levski, one side cska?

Yes, some of our boys were kicked hard, 2 of them splitted from the group and they were very hard bashed in some small street from 20 croatian ultras. 3-4 bulgarian were in hospital but they also saw around 7-8 croatians with broken heads there :)
That's what i know, as i said i wasn't there and i can't tell all the truth because there is no way for me to know it, but sure it was great day for both sides.

P.S. Btw can u tell me from where is coming this "Semper Fidelis" in ur nick name :) Our local rivals also have this "tag" in their banners and web sites, it's interesting to see from where they stole it :)

Its Latin for "Always faithful". I use it on forum, because my group use that logo.

Indeed. In the Balkans there is much hate, but we mostly hate turks and serbs and don't like romanians and greeks.Maybe the best feelings are about Croats, but we don't care about them.
Only cska fans and some other idiots like serbs and romanians and the pigs even have "friendship" with grobari and steau supporters.

I know a lot about your history, because I'm historian and it seems to me that people tend to be very selective when interpreting their own past (not only in Bulgaria, but in Serbia, Greece, Croatia as well). Being Serbian, I could also say that Bulgarians did terrible things to my people, especially during I and II World War, but what's the point of all that? To re-live atrocities again is pointless... It saddens me when I read something like I MUST hate them, blind hatred blocks objective judgement.

p.s.

I've visited Bulgaria twice and always had a good time.

Yes, and we can go back to 1885. or 1878. or even back to medieval times... Like I said, pointless. Balkan nations are being used troughout history by the great powers to die for their goals. On rare ocasions, when we stood together (like Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece and Montenegro did in I Balkan War), we drove the Ottoman Empire out of Europe in less than 1 year. I'm not saying we should forget what happend (because that's the best way of repeating mistakes from the past), but we shouldn't be so determined by it nowdays. Personaly, I feel much closer to any of the Balkan nations (like it or not, we share similar mentality, similar history and similar problems) then to english, french or any other.

I support Partizan.

Second Balkan war when you lost a lot of territoryes (I know that serbs & greeks were not so fair allyes in First Balkan war, but after this conflikt you lost more then before...). Russians would have never decided to help us if it wasn't for political purpose. The same politicians along with England took a decision to split our country in two, also decided to leave other Bulgarian territories - Odrin region, Vardar Macedonia, under turkish slavery. North Dobrudzha was given to Romania in exchange for Moldova... Only the fallen ones and the soldiers who have fought for our freedom are our brothers, we feel nothing towards the Russian nation in general. ;)

PS: It's a bit of off topic but somehow related to the main, particularly for this one - there are some exceptions of course. Ass-giving people (for instance most cska Sofia fans, who want to be friends with everybody), people who love Russia, people who despise Russia, etc...

shashko - January 19, 2009 03:07 PM (GMT)
Most bulgarian people like Croatia and Hungary (talking about historians, nationalists,...)
Because we were always allies and had similar interests.
However there are also a lot of people who would like to make some kind of balkan friendship, talking about a situation similar to the one during the first Balkan war.
Because in 1885 when Serbia attacked the shortly liberated Bulgaria (1878) many bulgarian were dissapointed because we were always allies against the turks. It is hard to have good relations with someone who owns now part of your territory or vice versa.
But as we see cska sofia fans are getting well on with Grobari and Steaua.
As for some Levski lads, we very much admire Dinamo Zagreb and there are several guys going to the derby quite often. Same for Greece, looking at history we hate each other, however there are some PAOK lads friends with Lokomotiv Plovdiv. So we can hope to see a better Balkan region. And we can hope to end someday the hate between us and say NO to the imperialistic countries, who did all this to us. Sorry for the bad english.

:cheers to Croatia and Hungary and the rest....we'll see :beer

bullshits
it's impossible to talk in general about such things, most of the older people people for example still believe in bulgaro-russian brotherhood, the people who don't like Russia have their reasons too, after 1944 there was an idea Bulgaria to become a part of the soviet union, and many historians claim that Russia liberated us in 1878 only with the idea to expand the empire, gain control of Carigrad and convert the bulgarians in to russians...
cska Sofia fans are "army brothers" with russian and serbian teams, Botev Plovdiv have contacts with croatian team...many people here listen only serbian music...so don't generalise

Russia is probably the only country in which Bulgarians distinguish between people and politicians... For me and many others Russians will always be a brother nation, despite that we have suffered from decisions of Russian politicians and even hate some of them (communists more specificly) . We are very similar and I realize this every time I meet someone from Russia. This is not the case with our neighbours though, country and nation are the same thing for us regarding them because many of the atrocities they did to our people have always been supported by the public opinion in these countries. Croatia and Hungary are old allies, in my opinion we must improve relationships with them in ultras world and don't let some idiots like cska for example delete our common past.
