ok, here is some pictures from the making of a banner in the match SK Brann-Lillestrøm. To bad the banner totally failed, the painting was to small and the banner had to much white color left. But atleast we learnd something and wont do it again!

It was my tifo idea, but those who started on it with drawings did something wrong and we did not notice it when me and some friends did come the next day to paint :(

This is how it should been:

Our coach always talk about building rock on rock (sounds better on Norwegians :P ), what he mean is that we want to build up a strong team, but it wont happend over the night, he will take step by step. My team Brann is not known to be a strong team, more like a team that end second one season and then close to go down to second division next year, hehe.

and we used in football against panathinaikos

SK Brann - Fredrikstad:
30/07-06

We started to make the banner, first day we worked from 20:00-04:00 at the night (after work) to only draw up everything.
Then we started to paint our 8*26 meter big banner.
We also made some new flags at the same time...

We used 4 red stripes and 4 white all the time, and 5 red and 5 white papers at the seats to make red and white "stripes" over the whole long stand.

We decided to paint red/white stripes which was 2 meters. And we used old letters to write "Brann from Bergen"




We did paint it a few weeks before our match, this week we have worked with paper and stripe rolls made by plastic.

There was a few meters with stripes that had "lost" the color, but we did order more then we needed from tifo.it so it worked ok, no problems.


When we was finish with those stripes we took our banner to the stadium 2 days before match.

We got our banner up around 12:00 at the night, after a long tifo day...



Next day (saturday) we started to work with the paper. close to 3000 seats.
I was the leader that day (proud) :D



We did also test the banner to see if it worked 100% as it was supposed to.

We did hang up our stripes right before the doors did open today (sunday).


And, I want to say that Im very happy with this tifo. The papers could been better, but I think it looks ok, or what?

Anyway, here is a few pictures from making of the tifo to Brann - Rosenborg:

We started to draw up the banner in a school gym


Then we painted it few days later where we use to work with tifo


Flags is bought and we start to set them out on our seats



All our flags is out on the seats now. In the midle we will have our banner we made

What we tried to make was half of our logo. Im not 100% happy with the result. First time we used flags like that in a long time, but there was very much rain so people with seats close to the pitch game very late, and stupid kids/families used our flags to cover them self for rain! :anger

We have over 200 days with rain each year here, so to make huge banners outside will never be done by us.
What you have to do is to phone a lot of companies and ask for help. Find a huge building you can borrow for free a little week, then work as hell to finish your banners.

Here is from our last match (SK Brann).

First we did sew toghether a lot of smaller banners until we had 26x28 meters!


Then we found a place to paint it. After a little phone round we ended up with a indoor footballhall.
We bought a lot of plastic and taiped it together before we took the banner over and started to paint.



We used around 120 liter of painting...

After this we made two other banners. Bought red and white plastic from tifo.se, did cut it up in 26meter long parts and taiped it toghether.


These two banners was 24x26 meters.

Im happy with the result. First time we have made that huge banners and first time we have used plastic like that.
Could been a bit better, but learned a lot.
