All they're banners are professionally made or given to them by the club :nope Despite their massive numbers and vocal support, they don't have an ultras mentality..

Nope they do look good but they are not ultras.
It may well be there are no true ultras in the Asian region.

Their club were also created by Mitsubishi? :bab :ai

Yep sure are.
they are the owners If I am not mistaken.
g0mes - April 24, 2007 07:39 AM (GMT)
Urawa are not ultras.
the culture in Asia is very different to europe.
NSM - April 24, 2007 09:16 AM (GMT)
They are by far the most vocal supporters in Asia, but lack in mentality.
Unfortunately the Ultra mentality has never really taken off in Asia as it has in Europe.
NSMULT - April 24, 2007 09:20 AM (GMT)
Once the FFA decided upon the A-League model there went any chances of any ultras mentality being in the league upon start up.
Would certainly like to know and perhaps Joey M or others could tell us how many South Melb and Melb Knights fans have a genuine hatred for the league etc.

There has been discussion amongst SM supporters about the dilemma they face at current moment. They can either put a bid in for a new A-League position in a year or two (with a possible name change/strip colours changed), OR risk staying in the VPL till they may cease to exist.. With such low crowds and not growth. Will be interesting to see the direction they take.
IhateHumans - April 24, 2007 10:33 AM (GMT)
oh no....not this again!
The reason why Knights fans are livid with mvfc is that all over their forums and sites is the Mentalita brand.....yet they decided to support a plastic league.....thats all...there is your answer! I understand Joey Ms arguemnt and others and I wont be talking about this topic anymore because it does my head in.....there is no end to it!

yes & no! uefa respect clubs of east europe - he must!
but
though he is respect for east european clubs, only for there money and to take the football stars away to west europe rich clubs. the peoples are remain poor and stupid. the football busnisnessman is remain rich and with corruption.
IhateHumans - April 24, 2007 12:14 PM (GMT)
I think they meant 1,2,3,4 teams in England go to Champions League and 1st team in Romania has to qualify.....

yes i know, but you must look for month of pay in england, and then look for month of pay in romania / urkrajna / slovakia / serbia / hungaria / bulgaria / russia .there diffrence not just for football but as well for all economic and society. and this is not one accident, this is happen because for business of west for keeping the pay small of east. everybody in east want being like west, and kill themself for change and money so living like west. exploitation just like americans and black peoples, jewish and palesintes.
IhateHumans - April 24, 2007 12:36 PM (GMT)
money doesnt interest me....
its not fair to have a 'Champions League' with Roma in it.....Roma who didnt win the scudetto!

See that's the weird thing.
It used be the European Cup with all the Champions.
Then they changed it to the Champions League without all the champions.
Why not just leave it as the European Cup then?

It is based around the supposed quality of the league innit?
IhateHumans - April 25, 2007 12:05 AM (GMT)
Joey_M - April 25, 2007 01:59 AM (GMT)
i had this same argument at tafe the other day...fair enough roma or liverpool may be better then a shaktar donesk, but if they aren't champions of their league, why do they deserve a champions league spot??
especially teams that finish 3/4 in the league, getting a spot over teams that have won the championship in their own country!
IhateHumans - April 25, 2007 02:44 AM (GMT)
its the allmighty dollar....you see the Liverpool fans going ape shit that they made 4th spot and a lucrative spot in the Champions league....
while the Ukrainian team is doing its best to form a squad that will threaten in the 3rd Round of qualifying.
And then that scum Platini talks about making it fair.....
NSM - April 25, 2007 04:49 AM (GMT)
It's funny cause the Champions League, is not just for champions.. and it's certaintly not a League.. It's just about money..
NSMULT - April 25, 2007 04:52 AM (GMT)
Perhaps adding another twist to the discussing, certainly the CL is about money making, there is no doubt of that.
For football purists though is it not more advantageous to have the sides that can play the most attractive football also.
IhateHumans - April 26, 2007 06:51 AM (GMT)
hmmm purists!?!?!
I think thats just another way of saying 'just put the big teams in its a better game'

i think for football purists they'd want to see their side play the champions of each european country...not 2nd 3rd or 4th best!
but hey, what do i know
CroCop - April 26, 2007 03:44 PM (GMT)
Um, I think he means that having say Milan and Barcelona playing each other would have more prestige then say Barcelona v Levski Sofia who were Bulgarian champions and lost all games.
Realistically today the way Football is and with most of the top players going to the "big 3" leagues there would be really only 2-3 teams who could probably win the CL.
They should of left the name to European Cup then it'd make more sense. :aight

but thats not right...it still has the same problem!
what just because the name is different its ok to **** over the smaller clubs???
why should roma (for example) play in the CL after finsihing 3rd or 4th, when champions of bulgaria (for example) go out in 2nd/3rd round of qualifiers...
its still bullshit, just smells a little different!

Unfortunately it's been designed as a best plays best of tournament
As opposed to an FA Cup style contest where the biggest play the smaller teams
Money obviously plays a big role and its only increasing the gap between the Big Four leagues and the rest of Europe

Even then, the Bundesliga has hardly been at all competitive in the UCL in recent years, only Bayern seem capable of providing a challenge.

how is it best plays best when teams who finish 3rd/4th, (even 5th in liverpools case last UCL) get a spot over the BEST teams in other leagues???
do you seriously have trouble understanding it?? its not best plays best, its the rich vs richer

So are you trying to say Levski Sofia are better then Liverpool?
You don't think Liverpool or any other team not champions in Spain, Italy, England etc are better then the Champions of Bulgaria or another smaller country?
Come on!
