Ion Antonescu
was a Romanian soldier, authoritarian politician and convicted war criminal. The Prime Minister and leader during most of World War II, he presided over two successive wartime dictatorships. A Romanian Army career officer who made his name during the 1907 peasants' revolt and the World War I Romanian Campaign, the antisemitic Antonescu sympathized with the far right and fascist National Christian and Iron Guard groups for much of the interwar period.

Nice to know now that Levski Sofia club is named after him

There is also "Hristo Botev", few clubs named on him - Botev Plovdiv,Vratza and many other smaller clubs.
I would like to add also :
Stefan Stambolov - the biggest bulgarian politician in our modern history.

Of course a lot of other people which deserve the honor to be described as "national heroes", but the most popular are written by proud and loud.
Few names :
Paisii Hilendarski
Sofroniy Vrachanski
Todor Aleksandrov
and many more....

There are also non-bulgarian citizens which are respected a lot for their actions :
Victor Pozitano
Emily An Strangford
William Gladston
Victor Yugo
and more.... + huge respect for the many thousands of slavic people which died in the russian-turkish freedom war in 1877

Why do you think Ireland is still divided? Because this fucker was scared of the british and accepted the deal that Northern Ireland would still be ruled by britain. And the fact that Ireland still was under the british crown.

A bitter civil war between the irish started after this, those who were anti-treaty and those like Collins who accepted that Northern Ireland would still be ruled by the british.
