Legion 1882 - June 3, 2009 09:56 PM (GMT)
Our season is over pal, so this could be just the ROI section.
ARooney29 - June 6, 2009 06:08 AM (GMT)
Forza Rovers vs Derry City.

Jinks Ultra - June 6, 2009 10:07 AM (GMT)
Derry had a bit of confetti too someone should have told them about our low roof

Yeah wasn't our group organised that, think someone was either bored on the bus on the way down or something. Our plans went tits up before we left derry.

We are, sort of. Haven't put an original display together in a while but we still have all the flags and banners up in front of our depleted singing section. Why just the other day we made a banner  We're working on raising funds to get regular displays going again.
Mike_Hunt - June 7, 2009 02:42 PM (GMT)
Ye funds are very limited within our group. Theres only about 4/5 of us who actually put money into the group. We still have our flags and banners and with Volume 1 Issue 1 of the Fanzine just after going on sale hopefully we can get some displays going sometime in the near future. Should pick upduring the summer when the group is back on track financially and when the rest of the lads finish exams only about 8 of us who dont have exams at the moment.
Btw..anybody interested in Vol 1 Issue 1 of the Fanzine?? I have a few copies left over.
BriogaidDeargMarino - June 8, 2009 10:42 AM (GMT)
I think Limerick and Wexford brought more support to Tolka then you lot did, very bad support.
Blues-Til-I-Die - June 8, 2009 03:44 PM (GMT)
Yeah we had a bad turnout alright. That's probably our worst away crowd of the season but to be fair, we had the Munster Senior Cup Final in Cork on Tuesday so people would be more inclined to make a bit of an effort to see a rare event such as the Blues lifting silverware rather than go to Tolka:lol:
No need to point it out is there?
BD GLENNO - June 8, 2009 04:25 PM (GMT)
There is every need to point that out
Mike_Hunt - June 8, 2009 06:04 PM (GMT)
Actually there was a lot more Blues fans there then I even thought. Apparently there was another 20 or so in the main stand :S...seen them after the match. Still a poor crowd even with that though. Exams keeping people away and 2 games a week for the last 5 weeks has hit peoples pockets i'd imagine. Not forgetting the few who actually VOTED instead of going to the Blues. MADNESS!
What was with the guys behind the goal for the second half?...Came out from the pub with banners n few flags and started singing? Bit odd.

bebo, the scourge of many a good group. any tom, dick or harry (almost always dicks) can open up a blog and claim to be representing whatever team / group / mob they want.
can be very embarassing, you even get ASC ones I think. just have to remind yourself at the end of the day tis only the www and nobody really takes the blogs seriously.
or do they

It shouldn't really matter how many they brought as long as BAU were there with their group banner :si
Mike_Hunt - June 9, 2009 04:16 PM (GMT)
Not all of us were there... Lads with exams couldn't make it because they had an exam til 5..Think there was about 5 of us there with the group banner

Apparently theres more Crumlin fans then Shels fans. I find that hard to believe but really odd if it is.

Wouldn't suprise me at all if it is true. Its not an attractive fixture for Shels fans but its a big game for Crumlin and I'm sure everybody who has anything to do with any Crumlin team will go along to support them.
Mike_Hunt - June 9, 2009 07:48 PM (GMT)
How far is Crumlin from Tolka?

Not far at all, easy to get the bus out to it and would probably be about 20 mins driving.
Mike_Hunt - June 9, 2009 08:26 PM (GMT)
Thanks for that but i've just realised the game is actually in Tolka so how Crumlin fans would out number Shels fans is beyond me.
1-0 Crumlin by the way :beer

Not really. Crumlin are a decent LSL Sunday side. Shels haven't that big of a hardcore support that would come out on a Tues night. So a one off cup game would easily see a bigger Crumlin support
When they where in the Intermediate Cup Final last month played in Tallaght. Of a crowd of 1400, around 1000 of them where from Crumlin
Bit of a shock though that it ended 1-1 though. Shock because I know some of the Crumlin players and since their season ended after the Cup Final they've been on some mad piss up's every weekend. Some only returned home from hols in Spain as well. I don't think they where taking it that seriously and where expecting to get knocked out in the 1st round, sure they only got together for a few training sessions last week. I'd say they are gutted they'll have to keep training now till the reply
Gavin "shels" - June 9, 2009 10:27 PM (GMT)
Crumlin filled just over half the main stand in Tolka (over 400 afaik), then about another 80 spread around the ground, saying that they did have two private Dublin Buses for fans. Then maybe 300 Reds. Not really good at predicting attendences.
As for their "fans" singing "C'mon you boys in blue" at the end leaving Tolka. :ang

Well the main stand holds about 1,700 so some achievement to over half fill it 400....
As above about 50/50. Wasn't gonna bother going meself as I was in the middle of painting at home. Then decided I'd earned the break and the few pints. B)
Was actually a pretty good game.
